Notes:

special thanks to my brother Chauncey for all his help.

Tech Notes:

* Modifications on CMC5 Amplifier Bodies:
Mylar coupling capacitors changed to Wima MKP 2 polypropylene film capacitors
Faster JFET (J305) (fet bias also trimmed to match mics)
European BC transistors switched to Hitachi bipolar transistors (2SA1085)
Modifications performed in an effort to open up transient detail and microharmonics, while reducing the top end spit from
the European transistors. The mids are smoother. The new JFET is a very fast rf device optimized for low noise at high impedance.

Just letting you guys know that the Jamison recording is amazing. It's by far the best source from MSG so far....I highly reccomend downloading it.

According to the Groove, "Lebron"'s brother, "Chauncey" is releasing one too, and Bastable's is supposed to sound awesome.

I think I'm gonna wait a bit to see which sounds the best.

I would grab Lebron's 16 bit tape and Chauncey's 24 bit tape...smoking!

i cannot decide between Brown's and Jamison's.

they're both very clean, but Jamison's is slightly louder, i think.

although, Brown's seems a little louder and clearer during the D&T segment.

i may have to combine Brown's D&T and Jamison's D&F for myself. :)

I enjoy Brown's the most. Just sounds the best to me out of all the others.

>>they're both very clean, but Jamison's is slightly louder, i think.<<

then turn the volume up :)

just a note, i see a lot of people on here saying "this source is louder so it's better." well, that's a common mistake people make. just because something is louder doesn't mean it's better. when you compare, adjust volumes so both are the same and then see which sounds better.

:) i understand that.

i was just stating that that was the only difference between the two (to my ears, anyway). just for people for whom volume level does make a difference.

i think they differ in bass response, soundstage, "punchiness," high end detail...

best thing anyone can do is just listen and decide for themselves :)
