I have been wanting this guitar for about 6 months. Today I went ahead and bought it. Its a 1969 Martin D-35 made from Brazilian Rosewood. Man it sound like Heaven. I can honestly say it is the best sounding guitar I have ever played. Well I just had to tell someone who can appreciate it. Here a some pics of it, they are kinda blurry. I'm off to play somemore

yep, it was a fortune. I paid $3,500, but they wanted $4,200. It was worth it to me. The guitar just sounds so good. It has deep deep warm bass.

i can't figure out how to shrink the size down to 78kb. I have photoshop, does anyone know what to use to make a picture smaller?

Do you think it would be a bad thing to have a pickup installed?

i don't think it's worth drilling...maybe though. the higher prices soundholes are actually pretty nice..

any Ideas, I don't really know to much about pickups. but if I do get one installed, I'd get a top of the line one.

where did you buy the guitar? if it was a mom and pop shop, then they can prob. give you all the info you need on installing pickups

I got it from guitar center. I might look for some martin message boards and ask them for advice. I just don't want to do something to change the guitar alot. Something small but sounds good.

Fishman Matrix Natural II is darn good. Not too pricey, either...about $150.

but involves drilling..which with an old guitar i hear is not the best idea.

Exactly...that's why i suggested a soundhole mic...or just mic the soundhole with a regular mic..
