I just got a new acoustic guitar for christmas so I'm gonna re-string my old one to baritone tuning. Just wondering what strings I should use where and What I should tune them to. Thanks guys.

get some extra lights strings, put an a string in the low e slot and then down, until the high e string slot, there put an extra b string. The tuning is B E A D F# B , it has a fairly low tension, I recommend getting a chromatic tuner for this to tune to the F#. I tried this tuning once I didn't really like it or recommend it , it just doesn't sound right on a regular guitar. Daves got a baritone guitar which is a special guitar with a longer neck and differently spaced frets to change the scale. To me learning the alternative standard tuning tabs sounds better to me at least than a regular guitar tuned to raised B.

yeah...if you keep the old guitar in baritone tuning, the neck will warp...you're going to have to tune into baritone everytime you want to play with it...i would reccomend buying a longer neck or something from a guitar parts store and having it put on there...shouldn't be too hard to do that.

Agree with the other guys. I'd use my 2nd guitar for just a 1/2 lower tuning or raised B or something.
Just don't even bother. You'll wreck the guitar, and it'll be unplayable, anyway. You need a larger scale.
