Hey everyone, this is my first time recording something. Feel free to tell me if i suck or not. I'm thinking about doing this one for the school talant show. I'm not sure tho so you guys can help me decide ;)

the guitar is fine, but it is almost like you aren't even singing. it sounds as if you are just sort of talking your way through. is that on purpose or not?

Haha, no i guess im just really bad. I guess no talent show for me. I'm thinking about taking voice lessons but i dont even know how much it will help. obviously i need a lot of help.

Are you aware that you are not singing in tune? One possibility is that you are tone deaf... if this is the case, probably not much you can do. If it is simply that you have no training and do not really know how to "listen" for pitch, you can definitely learn to do that. Keep practicing, even singing along with a recording. It is very possible that it will click for you.
The guitar sounds good, but every now and then you trip up on the rhythm. Remember Dave's own advice: It's more important to stay in the groove than to worry about messing up notes. Keep the rhythm steady. Good job on the guitar overall.
