Definitely an awesome song. That is the version of #41 that I have come to fall in love with. In fact, when our band plays #41 cover, my solo at the end is actually fairly mellow with some double stops largely because of the influence from Live at Luther.

i agree. one of my top ten dave matthews related moments is listenin to that version of that song for the first time. tim goes off at the end...in the words of will farrell "simply stunning."

I, for one, don't find that version very amazing, like seemingly everybody else does. Not to say it's bad, but I'll take a full band #41 over D&T anyday.

haha, #41 is the one song I always skip on L@LC... I have never been able to get into it either D+T or DMB. altho the outro is cool, that was the one reason I couldn't stand the 2003 D+T #41's cause they skipped the outro.

I never really liked that song very much until that disc. I remember the radio played it all the way though before the CD came out and I was like WOW
best #41......ever

me and my friend who always used to play together learned this song first, I'll always remember part of my music history. I've actually used it to teach my two friends how to play, it's cool.

Also the reason I picked up a guitar.

when i heard stream off that disc my brother goes now if you learn to play that then I will be impressed. And so went on my attempt to paly stream. Also I really like the ants off that, and I recently played the version from at a mini coffehouse thing with all the solos even the slide part which is really fun. But this is by far the best 41..the most intimate.

Yea same here. It's really fun to just jam to Ants and pretend like you're playing up there with the people clapping and doing the "crowd solo" when the guitar stops in the middle. Incredibly fun song all around.

L@LC warehouse not only got me into guitar playing, it is what really got me into dave matthews' music in the first place after only hearing the album Crash before that.... now i cant fit all my dave cd's into one cd book

I also love Lover Lay Down from L@LC. It has so much more energy live, esp. that version.

I must say I also love this version of #41. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me where to get two things. I'd like accurate tabs (I can't see to find any) but I'd also like to find the chords so I can strum it. I just want to play this song so badly. It take a me a while to get the tabs down. So if I could strum it while I learn the tabs it just be great for me. If anyone could help me I'd be extremely gratefull.

dmbtabs.com all completely accurate tabs.
thanks very much for the help, but do you know where I could find the chords as well? So I could just strum it at first. It takes me a while to get tabs down (cause I haven't been playing that long) and I just want to play this song badly and if someone has a site with the #41 chords i'd be greatful.

What do you mean? Are you looking for simpler versions of the chords like without the big stretches? I know I had some trouble making the first three chords the first time i tried it. But anyway... if you're having trouble with just the strumming patterns, I think I can help you. If you didnt like dmbtabs.com's version, maybe you might want to try this one: http://www.geocities.com/ericwormann/41LALC.html
It has the actual bars and how long to strum all the chords. It looks a lot harder than it really is on this website since he tabbed out every single string they hit. Just strum each chord (each bar is one chord) and do the hammer on thing on the fourth chord. The verse and chorus are easy, I hope you can get those. Hope I could help.
