Dave's (and tim's?) Stairway

got this downloaded DMB version of stairway, i'm sure you've all heard it (and if you haven't your missing some quality stuff...) and well the recording is terrible and i'm having a hell of a time identifying chords or even if theirs a second guitar im not catching. I know nothing of the song only that he's only played it a couple times in the past, i think at philly, and that the whole band is on the track (hence vio and sax). Their are absolutely no tabs that i can find. Can anyone help me out, its really a kickass cover and sounds like a blast to play...

there is no Dave and Tim version of Stairway to Heaven. It is some other artist(s), but labled as D+T. Sorry.

DMB has played Stairway, but not in Philly...it was like 1991 or EARLY 1992 when it was played, and there isn't a copy anywhere. You may be hearing the ACTUAL led Zeppelin version.

well, according to DMBcrash.com, stairway was played in 1994 in montreal and nyc with tim, and according to some other site i forget it was played overseas in the stairway tour in europe in the bridge of watchtower. Besides "dancing ants" give me a little credit in being able to distinguish zep w/ Dave for shit's sake... you are most definately mistaken. give me some time that you'll be on AOL Im and i'll transfer the file to you, it's MP2 which is probably why youve never found it in your basic server prog

The only time Dave has covered Stairway to Heaven is during All Along The Watchtower. At the end, during the solos, he sings the "And as we wind on down the road..." part of the song.

calm down man. i was simply stating the fact that a full D+T version of Stairway does not exist, and besides that, D+T did not play Montreal in 1994, and when they played the Wetlands in NYC, they played Watchtower, but no Stairway in it. They did play it in Watchtower in Irving Plaza in NY. I would recommend dmbalmanac.com (http://www.dmbalmanac.com/tourshow.asp?where=1994&type=davetim) for your show looking up experience. these guys are dead on all the time.

and the tab for the D+T interpolations is probably very similar to the regular one....i'm sure Dave is just playing the Watchtower/Stairway Jam while Tim solos over it.

no, i personally haven't heard it. but the "jam" to watchtower is very similar to the rythmn of stairway.

Has anyone got this guitar riff? I know its alot of a watchtower riff...but theres somemore sliding going on.

P.s. DmbTabs doesnt have it. I thought Winglet82(Eric) wouldve had it on his site, but I dont see it ethier.
