I have been trying to get it but seem to figure it out. I have the Benaroya DVD, and I have been trying to figure out what chords he is playing in the verse and chrous, and the jam...the intro he appears to be using his index finger, and pinky, but I can see what strings he is sliding on. The tab shows on the E string, but it looks like dave is playing 2 strings and possibly using his other 2 fingers to mute, but I am not sure. Some of these fan DVD's are great to have to watch, but I are a bit too blurry or far away to pick out chords and stuff. But thanks to all the people that do those, because I know its a lot of work, and I know most people really do appreciate it..anyways, I dont get it from the tab on dmbtabs and theres no video up yet for it, so any help with a solo tab for watchtower, the benaroya version is good, but he cuts it off real abruptley at the end. Also what do the numbers right under the tab mean?? THANKS!!

the numbers mean what fingers you should use to play those notes.

dave also plays the higher notes of the subsequent barre chords from time to time. but usually it is just am-g-f-g.

i know someone out there must have seen the benaroya dvd that can help....i really love this song, but just can't seem to get it. i seems as though dave is playing more than one string, but thats not what the tab shows.

The entire song is Am-G-F, around and around. Dave plays variations of those chords -- he'll play the bass notes (5-3-1) and maybe add one or two other notes in there. Whatever he plays is off the Am-G-F riff. If you know how to play Type I bar chords, just fiddle with those and play some of the notes at a time ... that's all he does.
