Yeah no kidding. I was glad that one of my friends shared the driving with me. I'd rather have 3 nights at the Gorge than 4 or 5 nights scattered across the NW in that sense. But we'll see what they decide to do.

That would work out well if the Gorge really is over Labor Day weekend.

EDIT: I just realized that it was over 900 miles driving last year over that week!

Perhaps it's time other venues got some action. MSG is an indoor venue anyways and typically houses early spring and winter shows, the tour starts well into summer this year so that much actually makes sense. For all we know they may be planning a winter tour later in the year (the last winter tour featured 5 out of 9 shows within 5 hours of NYC).

Ok first off, MSG is usually played at during the winter or the spring. Second, they've only played at Continental 3 times. It is VERY possible they won't play at either this year. As for Giants Stadium, who knows? I think it's too big, but that's my opinion.

Also, this story is a bit interesting to me. My dad wants to go to a show with me, most preferably SPAC since I'm always raving about it. I told him there were maybe dates online. He took it upon himself to already book a hotel near SPAC for the second night. There is a Hilton or something owned by that chain incredibly close to down town Saratoga. Mysteriously, this hotel has been booked full for that night. The guy on the phone asked my dad why he wanted to stay there, so he told him. The guy then said "Yeah, they probably booked that hotel for the show". Now, I have no idea where they stay when they're in Saratoga, but if it's that hotel, it's been magically booked full this many months in advance. Makes you think. I know it's a pretty stupid story, but after getting myself all excited over possible dates, anything like this can make me more excited.

I hope to god this list is real.

If this is for real, I have had some sweet luck the past two summers, Was home only for a month between going from the peace corps to Japan and got Chicago, alpine and target center. Now I get done with my contract in Japan mid july get to travel India for a month and will be home for Alpine and a road trip to the Gorge!! Please be for real!

Also, this story is a bit interesting to me. My dad wants to go to a show with me, most preferably SPAC since I'm always raving about it. I told him there were maybe dates online. He took it upon himself to already book a hotel near SPAC for the second night. There is a Hilton or something owned by that chain incredibly close to down town Saratoga. Mysteriously, this hotel has been booked full for that night. The guy on the phone asked my dad why he wanted to stay there, so he told him. The guy then said "Yeah, they probably booked that hotel for the show". Now, I have no idea where they stay when they're in Saratoga, but if it's that hotel, it's been magically booked full this many months in advance. Makes you think. I know it's a pretty stupid story, but after getting myself all excited over possible dates, anything like this can make me more excited.

I didn't read the whole thread but here's my guess. If someone faked these it's a wierd coincidence or an uncanny knack at prophecy. I think whoever did these did have *some* inside info. That first leg looks pretty close to what I have heard through the proverbial grapevine. The second leg doesn't mesh so good though. My theory is that this person does have some legit dates, not the whole tour but quite a few. Some seem out of left field but my thought is that was the guess work part to compile the entire tour in one post.

yup, the reason i can usually tell right away is that the the palm beach amp changes names each year. so the person who makes the fake dates always goes back and uses what dmb played there last time. in 2002(last year dmb played there) 2 night run and it was mars. guy tried to pull that here and the name has changed, so this is def not real.

Well in 2002 it was actually part the spring tour, then during the summer tour they came back through the surrounding areas but skipped Michigan. In 99 it was part of the big summer tour. Even though it was in the spring, it was still part of the main summer tour. That's how I look at it. :)

Yeah you are right. But like I said I just cant see them skipping Mich. with the success they have had here in recent years. I would hope they wouldn't. I like Spring/Summer concerts much more than winter ones for some reason. Someone mentioned a return to DTE. I doubt it will happen unless they do a 2 nighter, since the palace holds so much more, but that could be nice. I am going to be doing an internship this summer so I need to know when to say I am unavailable to work, if its on a tuesday I cant work tuesdays. whoops ;) Hope they say something soon. Since the Dave and Friends in TN. has been mentioned already you would assume it would be soon they would be saying something.

well they did play the continental in new jersey in aug. 2003. which is kinda close. but it would be nice to have a show in the area over the summer. it kinda sucks to have to wait for the winter. it would be nice for the summer tour to stop at like giants stadium which is in the area. i was there in 2001 and it was awesome.

This is just sheer lunacy. It takes 1.5 hours to drive to Montreal to Ottawa. It takes 5 hours to drive from Toronto to Montreal. It takes 4.5 hours to drive from Ottawa to Toronto.

Montreal - Toronto = 5 hours
2001 total = 6.5 hours

2002 schedule

I spoke to a friend yesterday who works for House Of Blues - Molson Amphitheatre. She said she had heard the rumours of the DMB stop at the Molson Amphitheatre but it was simply a rumour. The only official date at the Amphitheatre so far for 2004 is Sarah McLachlan. Yes I am aware the dates are fake. (said to no one in particular)
Although, Mark, I think it would be pretty cool to see DMB at Molson Park, but I think they thoroughly enjoy Molson Amphitheatre.

Apparently, fake tour dates show up every year about this time. I'm new too, so I believed it at first. They are most likely fake. The dates will come out officially in March!

While the latter half is obviously switched up, these dates were rather obviously not pulled out of thin air. They were exactly what slowbutspeeding indicated, tentative tour dates that gave us an idea of where the band would be going. If that was a hoax, it had insanely good luck at hitting close to the mark, especially the part about no Minn, Detroit, or NYC, which so many people called BS on.

Exactly. I re-read every post I type before hitting the Submit Reply button. :rolleyes: Maybe it's because they stare down at the keyboard while they type, because they don't know where the letters are without looking. It's easy to miss typos on the screen that way I guess.

I think it is a bit more than just coincidence that some of these dates line up exactly.
