Yeah, but it's hard to make a judgement on the segues when the playing doesn't fit. You know?
This is just constructive criticism, now, so don't blow a gasket.
Your strumming is pretty weak and doesn't allow for smooth transitions. I can't tell you what I think of the segues because there are many gaps in the music and it takes away from any flowing play.
Keep at it and it'll come.

Just keep working at it. Try and hold out those Granny chords in the chorus longer, you seem to be cutting them short. This part:
E:-2-----------
B:-3-----------
G:-2---5----2-- <---1
D:-0---x----x--
A:-----8----5-- <---4
E:-----6----3-- <---2
But cool suggestions on the segues.

I wasn't saying you weren't calm, brother! I just know some people go apeshit when you tell them the truth. Just putting the disclaimer out there.
I get nervous now because there was a really long thread in DMBc about some guys tunes and he lost his shit when I said I didn't like it.
I'll beat pipsqueak to this one concerning strumming: get a metronome and practice slowly strumming some easy chords. And keep the beat by tapping your foot, too. It'll come.

right on.....and if you don't like to stomp, figure out something to keep those beats in time.
clapping it out beforehand helps too.

solid advice above.
you are definitely way out of time in all three, which does make it a little harder to evaluate the segues.
just tap your foot when you listen to the recordings, and you'll see.
I can also tell by listening that you're not moving your strumming hand with the beats.....you're studddddddering with it to make sure you hit the right notes. Try to get that hand moving in a fluid motion in proper time. (Dave is a champion at this)
Your chord transitions could be smoother....but hey, let's face it....that only comes with time and good practice routines.
Overall I do like the placement of the segues.
Practice up and re-record them for us in a few months. I'd love to hear them again.
And for pete's sake....turn that TV off that is on in the background. :lol
(just givin' ya shit....but turn it off anyway) :haha
Thanks for letting us listen.

I just saw this and thought I'd try to give you something else to think about...
Unless you want to be purely a fingerstyle guitarist (nothing wrong with that) you need to get over your fear of picks REAL quick.
I don't know how long you've been playing, but if it has been a while you already have a bad habit of not using a pick.
Throw one in your pocket everyday when you go to work or school or wherever you go. When you're just fiddlin' around, pull it out, practice holding it and get used to the feel of it.
I'll be the first to admit that it takes some time to get used to using one.
And when you play, FORCE yourself to use it. And there are 1,000,000,323,023 different types of picks out there. Get the ones that feel good to YOU. (not because they're "cool")
If you want a recommendation, I use Dunlop Ultex .60mm picks. (the ones with the rhino on them)
It is just plain-jane freakin' fact that there is a LOT of stuff you can do with a pick that you CAN'T do with just your hand/fingers.
Experiment.

i like the thinner ones (less than .50) because it makes hitting the strings easier. i just get really nervous when i play (hands sweat and get all jittery) i think thats one of the main things that effects my playing. not so much i'm scared of picks, i just have a harder time with individual strings and being comfortable with being able to find them like i can do with my thumb (just will take practice i guess)
thanks for the advice

With the fear of hitting the wrong string thing...a lot of people go through it and I have a solution, well some of the times.
If you watch dave play he uses muting a lot. When you are playing a song that has individual plucking of strings then try and mute the rest of the strings. That way you can 'sweep' across the string without fear of hitting other strings. Now with some songs this isn't possible because of various reasons (all other fingers are occupied with other strings or the strings must ring out.) In that case you will just have to practice, practice, practice. But whenever you can, use the muting technique. Warehouse is a good example. All individual notes are being played but he mutes the rest with the palm of his hand. But yea, practice is the main key.

Yeah, I know you didn't want this thread to turn into a discussion about your playing, but you seriously have improved. I remember you posting recordings maybe like 6 months ago, and you've definitely made progress, so don't worry.
As for the segues, I liked 40>Crush. And IIHIA>Cry definitely sounds like a cool suggestion, if it can be pulled off.
