This was a spur of the moment recording. I recording for no particular reason. Its missing the third verse because I used the warehouse version as a reference.
Let me know what you think.
Oh, and I sang! finally!

awesome work on the guitar that sounds great.
I'm no one to critique on singing, as I cant exactly sing myslef, but if anything needs improvment its that. Don't hold back, I guess. Give it your all and see how it turns out.
Overall sounds great. Awesome job!

for starting out with vocals it's not bad at all. i'm having trouble with my singing. just let go a little bit more with them i think. you need to work on your higher range possibly too. as usual the guitar work is solid.

Not to bad at all on the guitar sounds. The two mixed well together for the most part. There was a pretty noticable tempo change/argument in the second chorus I think it is. Singing got a little behind and probably the guit playing.... just a minor infraction. pulled back together eventually at the "grey" part.... The ending also had a tempo issue, but got back on when the octave busted out. Otherwise solid job man, just do your own thing. Play with the voicing and really give it your all... Just because dave does something, change it a little, you may honestly find you like it a little more. I find myself doing subtle things like that and I find it to fight the style a lot more for myself. Take it from the master... Dave changes a little something everytime he plays.

P.s... kind of new to the boards too! Just found out about this place.

well done. only advice would be to maybe drop tuning down a half step or try singing "bold and bright" area an octave lower. other than that the guitar was solid. where did you get the tab for the lead at the end? and what do you use to record? i recently bought an fostex mr8 but havent been able to use it yet cause of midterms and such. anyways good job.

The guitar was perfect as always. I thought you hit the notes singing, you just need to sing out a little more. I cant really give the best advice since I'm just pathetic at singing (and most of you know from my...embarassig...posts of me singing). I think with a little work, you'll be really good. You're definitely ready to sing and play in front of your friends or a coffee house or something. You'll definitely impress people.
