Notice how they broke up the different regions into their own series. It usually goes just by dates.

Hell yeah so far it looks like I'll be at Deer Creek and Alpine again!

AJDMB05
02-19-2004, 08:45 AM
What's with the ending at the Gorge again? That's going to raise expectations really high for those shows like it did last year. It may not be three nights, but still.

Anyway, I'm just happy I've got a two night stand to look forward to that isn't 7 months from now. Only 5. And by the time I have tickets it'll be 3 1/2.

Again, no shows in Michigan... when's the last time that happened?

Fishdisease
02-19-2004, 09:02 AM
Only Toronto...sigh, what happened to the days when we'd get three Canadian shows. That upsets me...I just moved to the outskirts of Toronto and I was hoping for the usual 3 dates. Now it'll still cost me as much to catch a few shows as it did when I lived on the east coast. Dam!

Strange dates indeed!!!!!! Toronto show is easy for me to get to. I can't believe that's the only date. Anyone in Ontario making plans to go to Darien Lake please let me know as I plan to need a ride - my licence is suspended until November.
Please, please, please......
Toronto gig is early in the tour which should be great for vocals. yay! :)

i guess no 500,000 KM Canadian roadie for us. if i'm still here i'll be going to darien and toronto. i can't believe that there is only one Canadian date. Ottawa gets the shaft again after an amazing show in 2002, Montreal gets the shaft after some great shows there and no Vancouver either. kinda surprised. I like how they did split up Toronto and Darien again, even though they are only a couple hours apart.

It's a possibility (would be a nice place for a festival... ;) ), but I'm pretty skeptical that they would add entire venues.

It would be awful if they don't get to SPAC. It is the greatest place to see a concert. I am noticing a gap from June 30 - July 6th. I bet two SPAC days will fit in nicely there. ;) Does anyone know if the band has anything else planned for those dates?

Blossom i think has a more mellow mood to the night.. germain is good depending on what night u see it.. 2nd nights have more enegry! but if i had to choose i'd tell you blossom.. (bias) :) Blossom is 10 mins away from I-80 so if ur comin from michigan i would go to blossom :)

2 shows in Houston, 0 for Dallas, 1 for SA and 1 for Albuquerque, NM. NM gets a show but Dallas does not. Crazyness. Its right near the end of August when the Texas summer reaches that peak of heat. They have always put on quality shows at The Woodlands. Not a bad way to finish the summmer. I wonder how fast the tickets for George, WA will go.

I know people are upset about SPAC not being listed, but I think the BIGGEST hole in the tour is that the ENTIRE intermountain rocky region is getting forgotten :twak . Looks like I'll be hitting 6/24 Columbus, Nashville, and Cincy. I was really hoping for two Cincy dates though.

*edit*
Ok I know this is a very stupid question for someone with several hundred CDs of live shows but I've only gone to a couple shows. What would be the best way for me to get tickets? I'm going to get pavilion for a couple shows and probably lawn for one. I'm not a warehouse member. Should i join and go for the instants or just try ticketmaster? Because I'm assuming I can't have my membership in by the lottery thing (which I don't think I'd get anyway because I think it's based on senioroty)

Can we decline these dates and go with the fake ones? :thumbsup

absolutely....i know we sound like a bunch of whining babies...but come on...2 nights at germain, and one at darien lake...with no spac? Darien lake and germain are closer to me but their amphitheatres SUCK!!! if the east loses its premier venue, why does the west still get Gorge? I hope they didnt get it because of some legal or other shit...not because they wanna change it up.

It would be awful if they don't get to SPAC. It is the greatest place to see a concert. I am noticing a gap from June 30 - July 6th. I bet two SPAC days will fit in nicely there. ;) Does anyone know if the band has anything else planned for those dates?

july 1 an 2 were on the fake list for Spac...im praying

Well when you are from the far south suburbs of Chicago, and traffic is a bitch it takes around 2 hours to get there. I go to Deer Creek every year, and that is around 3 or 3 1/2 hours.

I understand that you request them, but then do they charge immediately after the ordering period is over, immediately after you're confirmed for tickets, or just at some random point in between when you're confirmed for tickets and when ytou recieve the tickets??

No Shoreline is very odd. And with no more that 2 shows in a row throughout the tour, and only 3 days between Sleep Train and Gorge, it looks very doubtful that 2 Shorelines will be added. One is possible, but that's still pretty odd. Unless they come back to Shoreline AFTER Gorge...I don't know.

WHen you put a request for tickets in they will first see if your credit card has enough available funds for all of the shows you have requested. if it doens't you will NOT get any tickets to any of the shows you requested. Then comes the lottery which will decide if you get the tickets, if you do you sometimes have a temporary hold of the charge on your credit card. You will be charged when you are confirmed (some people might get it a few days before,) but make sure you have enough of a limit available before confimations come up. Otherwise you will get nothing.

They might do a temp charge before they are confirmed or declined. Like I have a debit/credit and they took the money out to make sure that it would be there if I got confirmed. Other wise they charge right after you are confirmed.

You can only get two tickets per show. I think they run the same as ticketmaster, but you do have some convience charges, plus the 35 bucks it costs to join. You can join today and still get tickets for the tour, as long as you win in the lottery, but it seems like a lot of people are joining lately, so your senority isn't going to be good at all.

Last summer I ordered tickets from the Warehouse and I found out where my seats were after tickets went on sale to the Public....I knew that i was going to get some, but it didn't say where the seats were located....do you think maybe this year they'll let us know where are seats are before the public sale? It would help a lot.
very doubtful.

RE: Saratoga....Im a patron there, called over to them this am, basically I was tol they have no control its 'our friends' at clearchannel. My contact there was very surprised and he had heard lately that they were doing their two dates in August as usual... August 8-16th is a definate hole in the schedule ? Will DMB really trek from WI to NY and then back to KS ? Who knows but it is very very surprising no meadowlands and/or spac for this tour.. leads me to believe those shows will be in that August opening or possible festival venues...

as a NYer Im truly disappointed Camden or Hartford just not the same as the 4 day meadowlands/meadowlands/spac/spac tour Ive done the last few years...

Oh well I guess this years road trip will be:
UMB/tweeter/Verizon/verizon... with a double gorge closer !!!
Doesnt have the same ring though, buts its DMB nonetheless

I really hope so . Not seeing DMB at SPAC this year would be really disapointing :(

February 19, 2004 10:55 AM - Dave Matthews, who went it alone late last year to support his Grammy-winning solo debut, reconnects with his bandmates this summer for a lengthy tour.

The reassembled Dave Matthews Band launches the outing in mid June, and is slated to hit amphitheaters throughout the U.S. and Canada until early September. More dates will be added, according to RCA Records, and ticket on-sale information hasn't been announced.

"Our time working on outside projects has made all of us really eager to get back out on the road again," violinist Boyd Tinsley said in a statement; like Matthews, Tinsley issued a solo album, titled "True Reflections," during last year's Dave Matthews Band hiatus.

Matthews' inaugural solo effort, "Some Devil," surfaced last September. The set features the cut "Gravedigger," which earlier this month won the Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.

Dave Matthews Band's most-recent studio album is 2002's "Busted Stuff." Last November, the group issued its latest live collection, "Central Park Concert," which captures the group's New York City performance last summer. The show drew more than 100,000 fans and raised over $2 million for public education and New York City parks, according to a press release. Next month, the band heads into the studio to begin pre-production on the follow-up to "Busted Stuff." No word yet on when the new album will land in stores.

do you camp there or get a hotel? i was looking for a show to camp at this year.

also a question about the warehouse....if i request all 5 shows i want to go to, will they say "oh well she's already confirmed for blossom so we won't give her columbus"? do you have got a better chance of getting tickets if you only request 1 show instead of 5?

i only requested blossom last year, got them, and bought my columbus tickets through ticketmaster. but i'm not sure how fast star lake sells out.

i've never camped there... i've always found people that live in the area to crash with :)
i've come to believe that the WH tix are actully random, with me getting tix for the shows i request, but those tix being the shittiest possible seats in the pavilion (or in seats, but last row so i'm not even covered by the pavilion). but i'm there! that's all that matters!
last year at both shows there were still seats available thru the venue box office at starlake. plus instant ticketing has always had lawn tix for starlake.
i might try ticketmaster for 1 show this year just to see if my seats will be any better than thru WH.

Best to keep it in here. But I had a feeling when I saw the tour dates that if they pump out that album fast enough that they could add an extra month/month and a half to the beginning of the tour. Maybe a late April, Early may start???? I guess I'm not all that sure how they've done it in the past. This is my first tour with Ants and for jumping into the craziness half way through the day I can certifiably say that we are all nuts. But it's fun.

For the love of God, everyone take a deep breath. I'll bet they are gonna hit Shoreline and SPAC. Even if they don't, you'll just have to f'ing travel to see them. I wish they would have scheduled a show in my dorm room, it would have been convienent as hell. You ought to be glad you get to see them at all. 5th row of the second section in the pavillion. basically in the middle. good seats. blossom got a whole lot better after the renovation.

and blossom IS in the middle of nowhere. it's about 30 minutes from cleveland and 20 from akron. the city it's in (cuyahoga falls) is very small. the road to the venue is a single lane, 35 mph road. it's always backed up for at least 5 miles. i suggest getting there very early. if you want to know the backroads there (not the exit off of 77), PM me and i'll get ya there a lot faster.

One of the weirdes venues on the tour is Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. This is the first big DMB show in the Baltimore metro area. The only other times DMB has played a big show in MD was the HORDE tour, and a show in Landover which is pretty much DC metro area. This date falls right between NY and CT. This is a very interesting and unusual move for DMB.
However, for whatever fans attend the show, the capacity is only 15,000 and there really arnt any bad seats. I would like to go but this show is in the middle of the week, so I'll probably hit Hershey and then head back home at the end of the weekend.

I know many are disappointed about Saratoga but they will be in that area and New York has never been let down by DMB. Want to try real Misery? How about 2001 when they skipped the whole state of Ohio! A state they usually have 5-6 shows in a year. I have a feeling we will see some more dates. Seems sort of a light schedule for them.

SPAC has a great atmosphere - I love the Adirondack Mountains , and have a summer house 30 minutes away to stay at . Sure , I can go to Hartford , its only 2 hours or so away , but I don't want to :p I think SPAC will be added in though ... either that or NY will get the DMB festival

I love the fact that they are skipping over this place this year.... way overrated imo. Just a real pain in the ass as far as a comfortable concert experience is concerned.
