fuji and tdk are cream of the crop (as far as my comp goes). never had a problem with either of those. i think it really kind of varies from computer to computer depending on what type of burning hardware / software you have. alot of people swear by verbatims, but my comp spits them out 50 - 60% of the time. imations can kind of be hit or miss. but fuji and tdk are the way to go.

Oh, and I just got back from the O.A.R., Howie Day and Matt Nathanson show at Stubb's. Holy crap, Matt Nathanson is incredible, I had no clue. I would have much rather have seen him play a full set than Howie. He came out during O.A.R.'s set and they covered Sunday Bloody Sunday. Fun night in Austin.

The Pit isn't a crazy place. You won't have any problem keeping your spot. There are only like 6 rows in that section. There are plenty of security people around that area, and tickets are checked at both entrances.

it's not a free for all. the pit is highly guarded (if you will) but yes, it is VERY TIGHT in there.. i've always been totally content front row, b/c the pit looks a little too cozy, but i wouldn't turn it down by any means.. IT IS THE PIT after all. just that august in texas + lotsa jumpin and dancing + drinking + lotsa people = extra cozy good times if ya know what i mean.. i'm sure it's the same way in selma..
don't think for a minute i would ever complain about pit tickets.. i've been trying to buy them for years and there is no amount of $$ in the world that will get them for ya.. ya gotta get them through the warehouse.. so it's an honor really !

i agree with the air conditioner, front row in regular seating gets to share in that as well.. and boyd's incense..mmmmmmmm. :D

and yes, it is MUCH MUCH MUCH easier staying there regarding parking. they also have a walkway that leads directly to a back entrance of the pavillion w/ no lines etc... def. the way to go. i stayed there for buzzfest actually and it did kinda blow, but live music is live music so i was content, just bad company i guess :rolleyes:
listen to the bestof rod ryan show.. i'm sure they will be playing clips for weeks to come about the blessedherbs.com spectacular... it was miserable!!!

You are coming to probably the worst part of the summer here in Texas. My temp prediciton for the day is 98F. At 7pm it will probably be.... 94F. So take under advisement tailgating in the parking lot all afternoon will become very unpleasant.

The mall parking should be free. Its a big mall parking lot. Do not pay for parking. Its a short walk to the venue.

For any out of towners. The problem with the Woodlands, its far. So far its in a different county. Downtown takes about 40 min to go to. I highly recommend the hardy toll road for quick results. For places to go? Main St. in downtown has quite a large bar/club setup.

I have not been to "every" woodlands show just due to overall tix costs. All woodlands shows are always sold out, crowd has a good vibe, and the sound is done well.

I am also attending selma. I got far better seats for that show (pit).

TM or Warehouse? I think the wh instants (reserved) are sold out already. tm may still release some prime seats before the shows. they usually do. just keep checking every time you get a chance.

they go onsale when they go onsale. it's sporadic. sp? and it's not just one time either. they can release any number of tickets any number of times. from now until the day of the show.

past experiences have proven that having a great time DOES require meeting up with some fellow ants (hahaha)
and the woodlands if full of hotels, cheap and otherwise. the waterway is obviously the closest and best choice, but they are probably full at this point. lemme wake up a little bit and i'll post the phone listings of some local hotels here...k? i'll add you vehicle to the list also... must find java now.....

they aren't that expensive. at least i don't think they are.. i absolutely love having my personalized plates...
you have to give the state three choices and then they choose which one you can have.. i have the form here somewhere if you'd like me to scan it and email it to you.

well, i think jay - dmbjc and I plan on driving up Wednesday morning and just chilling out until the show. we're staying at the clarion suites, which if i remember correctly was within walking distance almost of the venue... anybody know if this is the case? on berg's site the official plan is to meet at RUDY'S BBQ at 15560 I-35 N. the phone # is 210-653-7839 and it starts at 2pm. for the woodlands show, night 1- the plan is to meet at Buffalo Wild Wings in the portofino shopping ctr. at 3pm. i don't see anything as of yet planned for a pre-show get together for night 2.
