I tried to go all out and book a band and all that, but the band broke up about a month ago. :( Now we are just going to be having a good time downtown. There is a TX band called Riverside (www.riversideband.net) that I've seen a few times. Nice guys, good music... they even do a couple DMB covers in their full sets(a damn good Two Step). Mostly original stuff, though. Anyway, I mentioned it to them and they were very interested in doing it, but then they broke up, so now there is pretty much no chance of it happening. Small chance of the lead singer coming down, but I am not pushing the issue anymore. You can download their first album in mp3 format from their site. I love their music. I gave out their disc at the DMB tour opener.... and had planned to do the same at the Woodlands.

Well, off topic of the Baldwins, but I was thinking about this today. My little brother is eight years old and will be in the third grade in a couple weeks. The next time DMB will be in Texas after this tour, he'll be nine. What do you think about taking him to a show? He really likes them, he knows the words to a lot of songs. He's been singing Ants Marching since he was four. I really would love to take him to a show but I'm just worried about all the stuff that goes along with a rock concert.

I take both my kids to all the concerts they will both be there at DMB Houston.
my only advice is dont drink with them just keep it kool.
they will love the show, I wish my parents had the money to have taken me to see Led Zeppelin when I was young

i've been taking bailey to concerts for several years.. she's a big kenny chesney, (or as we call him at the hut 'cheesey kenny') i've taken her to see him 4 times, & like i posted earlier, she escorted me last year to see john mayer/counting crows, and i've taken her to see britney spears twice...(the things i do for that kid...eek)
oh yeah, and the local band that i am/was a diehard groupie for, THE RACHELS she really liked them and i took her anytime they had a gig that wasn't at a bar... i think those smaller live shows really have gotten her much more into music. & b/c i'm friends with them she used to get a little star struck.. that was cute :p

the spac shows i grabbed just b/c i'm new at this and want to get all the shows i've been to eventually just to have, ya know...
the darien show i just listened to was one that a friend went to and suggested i grab.. it's really great too. but i have a feeling i'd say that about anyshow...
BUT DEF! the 6/30/04 show.. it was THE BEST of the 14 i've attended to far!!

and the desk is DONE!!!!!

but its a pretty big desk with 10,000 pieces AND i have -0- tools besides a regular old screwdriver........ my hands are dead !
i got the desk put together, the chair, and moved the computer from point a to point b -
no hubby to help me out.. 2 people would have been a helluva lot easier !!
but- its done now and i'm happy with it ~

but someone asked previously about cox seats at the woodlands
they were just discussing it on the radio-
they are a sectioned off area in the covered section that have food/beer service available... waitresses if you want to call them that....
so thats what make those seats special- pretty SWEET if you are a drinker!!

after seeing last nights setlist, i am bouncing like you can not believe...i know, now, that anything is possible...i'll back you up and typical situation and lover lay down - sounds like a sweet, reflective, contemplative, peaceful show...then throw in BOWA, SMTS and LIOG...words cannot express the emotions held within...

11 days and i'll be in texas...i'll be in the heat...(i'm in jeans and a sweater here...its 59 degrees fahrenheit here).

Could care less about opening act, and I have reserved seats, so no fighting on the lawn. I should be ok right?

the only openers i've ever seen and fallen in love with were the getaway people and taj mahal.......... bela was okay...

Well DMB's main photographer, Rudy Arias, is infamous for taking pictures of young, incredibly hot girls. It's not even that I really care, it's just kind of annoying when you have a photographer who's supposed to be taking pictures of the band focusing on those girls. As far as being upgraded by the Warehouse people, that's how you do it. I stopped going to shows with my male friends and immediately started going with girls. Hmm, I don't know if that sounded gay or not, heh, but you only get two seats through the Warehouse ya know? It's probably a good idea to have your arm around a good lookin' girl when a burly Warehouse guy walks down the rows.

rudy took about 15 pictures of me with at least three different cameras the first time i brought my sign and i have yet to see ANY of them ANYWHERE !

What you downloaded is the torrent file. The torrent is like downloading a zip file filled with mp3s. Obviously you can't listen to the zip file in winamp, but once you extract the zip then you have all the mp3s. Inside the torrent are all of the shn's.
