I posted awhile back that on one Saturday they were selling all the lawn seats to all the shows for $15 (except DMB) picked up tickets to Sting and Tragically Hip...I bet you'll be able to get SUPER cheap lawn seats because I don't think it's close to being sold out.

well after countless attempts this year i just scored a 6th row ticket for tues :bounce i know im not in the loop, tried for spac but im just not online nearly as much as everyone else, was wondering if you all are meeting up in the park? it would be interesting to faces to the names, especially for anyone ive traded with. if i dont meet up with anyone hope you all have an amazing time and heres to an unreal set! :)

Hey guys I read somewhere (I think on this thread) that the slope at the pavillion of Darien is very small and it's hard to see. I'm 5'10" so will I have a hard time seeing? Btw, I'm in section 202 row 12 if that makes any difference.

lawn has a very small slope...the slope in the pavillion is aight...it just depends on who is in front of you. i'm 6'4 and i've had problems with people in front of me before so it all depends on what is in front of you.

Yo people ... whats the deal for Darein ... I have never been to a show there ... I have heard random stories of the band going around the park on rollercoasters and stuff. Is anyone going to go up there on Monday and camp??? I am thinking about doing that.

We are not camping but I believe there's a group of us (approx 8 or so) going in to do some rides around the park. I was just listening to Dave say they did the rides last year at Darien and he's a little disillusioned by roller coasters as he already knows that nothing can happen to them. He should try Top Thrill Dragster.
I imagine a few hours before the show we will be heading out to the tailgating but I need to verify that with Brockboi.
I'm sure we'll be bumping into many of the Ants we met at SPAC and at Molson Amphitheatre Toronto.

My friend and I are staying at the Super 8 in Batavia, 15 minutes away from Darien. We're both only 18. When I read your post, I got worried that I may not be able to check in, but I called Super 8 and they said that you only have to be 18 to reserve a room there. Hope this helps!

not so much, I thought it was a lock when Carter laughed and pointed and waved etc before and after the show, and then he gave them to these girls in the front row who weren't happy enough with third row seats and had to push up. It was annoying and dumb, and I hope you werne't one of the ones pushing up because it was stupid to do when your already so close. Did you get one?


If you camp, you gotta stay 2 nights, it's cool I did it last year, saved a lot of time, and it was a weekend so the campground was hopping, don't know about this year though.

I went to a graduation party and there was one of those kiddie boxing rings. So, I went in and fought, and all of a sudden, I turn to avoid a blow, catch my foot in one of the crevises in the ring, and turn over my ankle. I don't know if it's sprained or just twisted, I doubt it's broken because I'd be in more pain, but still it hurts like a son of a bitch. Worst of all, Darien is in two days and I don't know if I'll be able to go to the park and to the concert on the ankle. If it's still bad Tuesday, I'll probably just skip on the park and just go to the concert. Still, I'm not too happy.

I went to see Sting last night, and they didn't really pat me down, but instead shook out my blanket. Also, if anyone else is in a hurry to get home that night( I have to work the next am) Park in the park lot. I got out in 10 minutes last night :thumbsup


oh and let me know about going into the park, I know we're gonna ride some rides now beforehand, I must say the new restraints on the Superman blow. If your tall, forget about it (not that I am, but I saw a lot of tall people having issues)

Take the batteries - maybe make you "clear" your card (this happened at SPAC)
Take your Camera (at Toronto) - It looked like at least 100 cameras were confinscated there (on a table in guest services)

Bring two sets of batteries, and a spare card if you have one.

well, it's just closer to another exit, away from the concert exit that gets PACKED. the park usually empties out around the same time as the concert because of a laser light show that goes on around 10:15...but the majority of people have left by then.

VIP parking uses the same exit as the tour busses (I believe). It's in between the concert lots and the park lots.

a bunch of us are headed up around 12, we are parking in the main lot, that is where most of the fun is. The traffic sucks so we just pack enough goodies for before and after the show.

Relax. I've met the band several times. Like I said in my original post, I've never been to Darien Lake. I'd like to hang out with them beforehand, as I haven't yet this tour. If not, no big deal, I'll wait till the Meadows on Friday when they come to my hometown state. I'm far from a stalker, if anyone has seen me at any show they know how much attention Carter gives me. And as brash as that sounds on paper, I'm really not trying to make it that. I'm merely pointing out that I know them well. If anyone knows the hotel in Buffalo, I'm going to try to make a last minute reservation for my girlfriend and I. Anyone who can help me with the hotel name can have a free show off my list. I had 2nd row ... no harm in getting up to front row especially if there is room ... the other girl was a BIATCHE ... her and her boyfriend had SOOOO much room, and he was being such a dick ... sitting down during the majority of the songs, went to the bathroom for like 4 songs and what not ... I can understand that he might have been upset that random people got up to the front row ... but it wasn't like I was coming from lawn (there were a lot of people who moved up tgere) ... Well Ants, we've done our laundry, packed our bags, and fueled up. It's now time for a nice nap before we depart for Darien Lake. Our drive is supposed to take us roughly 8 hours, so we're going to leave around midnight tonight. haha, i coulda warned you about the grizzlysee that's the funny thing, I went with our friends earlier in June, and they didn't have ANY of hte water features on, so we ended up DRY after the ride.
