[QUOTE=EatSleepJeep]Smoked myself stupid again , I guess.[QUOTE]

:lol :thumbsup Eh, I do that every day. Multiple times on the weekends.

Speaking of stupid....
Crumbo, I ran into your brother - almost but not quite literally - at The Cabooze on Friday night. (Definitely wasn't an "unannounced" show as I had heard - it was packed to the brim!) I have only a vague recollection of what I said to him as I was altered. :D But it was Kevin that was the stupid one. I haven't seen him that drunk in quite a while. He made a bigger ass out of himself than I did singing Ants for Karaoke! The lot at Gorge should be interesting.....

My friends and I just lost our place to stay up at Alpine. My guess is we are screwed and will be sleeping in our cars in some parking lot. But, if anyone knows of any available hotels or camp grounds that still have space available PLEASE pm me and let me know. Thanks a lot.

Morning all! Starting to plan the trip up for Sunday, but not sure yet when we'll get there. What time are people getting to the lot that day (allowing for hangovers from the night before, of course)? Planning to leave my place around noon or so (100 mi away)...

To "The Matthew" - are you too nice, obsessed, or really bored at work? It is great to see you, along with many people here, helping others - we are a nice happy bunch here.

Nice change of the avitar, but you said it was changed due to the upcomng pennant chase, but I wan't aware of any competition for the Twins in the central division. I know KC is there, but they suck, Detroit - enough said, and then there is Cleveland - nice improvement, keep working. I just can't think of that other pathetic team......:)

No kidding! I just about plotzed when I saw that. I can't even imagine how that sounded as an opener! ASTB is on my top 10 because it's so Fonzie-intense and he's my fave! I always gravitate toward the bass and bass players. Don't know why.

Nothing wrong with admitting this. I'm perfectly willing to admit there's songs I don't want to hear as well. No one has to like them all. I'd prefer not to hear:

are you on your way to alpine already or are you going somewhere else first...also are you gonna be passing through sioux falls?

We're leaving for sioux falls tomorrow night (tue), not sure where we're staying yet. Then we're headin up to the cities and doing the mega mall thing for a little while and then a twins game that night and then goin to valley fair the next day and whatever we can find that night and then off to alpine friday.

my ride to alpine called me last night and told me that they arent going anymore bc of "some stuff that came up"....tear :(

As you can see we're leaving for alpine fri morning comming back monday whenever we drag ourselves out of bed. We're very full but if you have no other way maybe we can help you out. Hopefully you can go somehow.

Hi All:

Well, we are only a few days away from what promises to be a fabulous weekend. The extended forecast shows 78 and sun on Saturday and 77 and clouds on Sunday, but no rain.

Here are some answers to questions that have been posed on the boards over the past week or so:

Question 1:
Can I hand out free CDs and free flyers in the parking lots?
Answer:
Unfortunately, we do not permit the handing out of any type of literature, CDs, etc. on our property unless we have given written permission to the organization doing so and have reviewed all of the materials that will be distributed.

That's about all I have for now. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Regards,
Brian, Security Manager
Alpine Valley Music Theatre

:( This is so fun though, it's not like we're promoting our own company or something, it's just music. I guess there's ways to get around it, not that i will be ;) . As long as you're not walkin around with 30 cd's passing them to anyone and everyone you can get away with it. Hand some stuff out to the people you're grilling with. :evil

<----New Avatar It's a pennant race.

I wanna be #4. :multi

Morning all! Starting to plan the trip up for Sunday, but not sure yet when we'll get there. What time are people getting to the lot that day (allowing for hangovers from the night before, of course)? Planning to leave my place around noon or so (100 mi away)...

2:00 Is my goal. Anything earlier would be just fine by me. See you in the yellow lot! Stay to the right side of highway D when getting to alpine if comming from the east.

:monkey <"I think it's a good time again for everyone's favorite PHOTO. (http://www.alpinevalleymusic.com/images/avmtsky1.jpg)"

That's been my wallpaper ever since Brian posted it months ago.

All Alpine shirts are sold at this point, it remains a very limited edition of 25. I'll do it all again next year. To all those who received them, we'll should do a group photo by the theater entrance during soundcheck on Night 2. Thoughts?

This picture really should happen. Gonna be able round us all up?

Last year I was supposed to have backstage passes to Alpine but I guess they "overbooked" and cancelled on us..instead me and my bro received 275 dollars and 3 tour shirts signed by the band....the gifts make me believe it was for real......they told us we'd be on the "top of the list" for next year......which is this weekend. I was wondering if this has ever happened before and if it sounds possible......what should I do to find out and does anyone know if these "lists" actually exist?

Yea, a little later than 3 would probably be better. Even though we're leaving earlier I don't know that we'll be set by 3. I will have a radio and I think we're coming into the Premier lot with Crumbo straight from the hotel so finding me shouldn't be hard. My cell phone actually works at Alpine so there's that too (it's listed on "the page"). I do like the N1 idea for photo purposes only because we'll all look a little less drained. :D

I associate Stay or Leave with something tragic, so I sincerely hope not. (don't want to be the crazy girl crying :) )

Well, I'm just rounding off to the nearest hour. I'll probably roll up to Exit 29 about 10 minutes before 1pm. If we're all there by then we'll get to the lots around 1pm. If we wait 'til 1pm, then we're in by 1:15pm.

Wanna know something wierd? Last night I was driving home from work thinking about which CDs I'm going to bring to Alpine because there's just too many to bring them all. I thought to myself, "Maybe I should bring the South Park movie soundtrack" because Aimee and I love it and know all the words (we learned while driving around hot-boxing in my car) but then thought, "Nah, no one else there will like that." Should I bring it?

Matthew's thoughts for the day:

It was 91 degrees today with a heat index of 109. Hot. Too hot.

I like dill pickle flavored potato chips. I'm bringing them to Alpine.

The job I hate will be over in 2 more days:)

The check engine light illuminated on my dash yesterday, and the computer spit out codes 12 and 51. I need a new O2 sensor before Alpine. Shit.

That is all. It's really hot.

It's good for making bombs....It may freeze some stuff you don't want frozen so be careful what you put in the cooler or just don't use a shitload. Good idea, but regular ice is cheaper I think.

Dry ice is great. The one key thing is never touch it with your bear hand. You need a pair of heavy duty rubber glove's. That is how we are keeping the Keg Cold all the way from Michigan. The stuff work's like a champ and will stay cold of ever. For fun drop a chuck in a tub of water and watch the steam.

Dry ice is good for that. Keep in mind that it produces a lot of CO2, and you wouldn't want to fill your car interior with that, youll get sick. Keep the windows cracked or put it in the trunk. Dry Ice is one of the few substances that sublimates(goes directly from a solid to a gas); another sublimating substance is BURRITO:)

Cheaper is going to be the key. Sarah's a single mom so she's likely to take that route. It doesn't make much of a difference to me...veggie burgers don't carry the same kind of illness risk as flesh burgers. :) I've got a vacuum sealer so keeping stuff dry in regular ice should be no problem.

As some of you know, I am flying into Chicago tomorrow from Los Angeles for the Alpine show. If, in the event I end up finding the seat that I need, I will be selling my ticket. Thanks!!

A coupla things:

1. 2 face value lawn seats for night 2 (wh tix) e-mail me.

2. dry ice works great just don't let it contact anything, food will get destroyed, aluminum will freeze to the point of breaking....wrap it in a garbage bag or ziploc and put it in the cooler that way

3. :monkey :monkey :monkey
