no longer a situation. I am now selling my pavilion seat for night 2 of alpine. Section 201 PP, price is face value plus all charges and shipping fees (unless you want to meet me in chicago on thursday or friday to exchange). Talk to me!

When will you all be getting there? We have 5 people too! We are planning on leaving early on Friday morning. Do you think that is early enough? I always start to get paranoid about it every year.
Thankfully we have a reserved spot. I called mine in even before they were open for the season.

When I call this week to confirm my spot, they have an outgoing message about "First Come first serve lot" saying that you should be your wristband my Thursday midnight....that seems a little early to me...

I'm really not sure what the sit. is there...as I have never been. If you leave Friday AM and head right there -- i think you should be good. We are headed out of the cities early Saturday.

More Minnesotans...Hooray! :bounce
We'll be departing my place on Grand Ave. at 7:30 a.m. SHARP, stopping for Caribou and Bruegger's and then hopefully be on 94 no later than 8:00.
Just remembered - better call the hotel for directions. Duh. :freak

I think I'm going to do the Dayton show on 10/2 then head up to Grand Rapids to see the Pearl Jam show on 10/3. It's a weekend thing and it would be easier on the job situation.

Good question.

As I said, I'm not the person who should handle statistics because the only thing I'm worse at than computers is math!

However, I'm certainly willing to help with collecting submissions. We'll have the green shade tent that would be easy for people to spot. And, of course, we'll also have the big stuffed monkey. :)

Any ideas?

I promise I'll be there as early as possible. Leaving here 7:30 so should be no problem.

We still need to decide on the specifics of the pool. I don't think we ever reached a consensus on the cost, point system, etc. Anyone?

For recognition purposes here are some pics:

The first one is me on the left, Eddie behind me and Eddie's girlfriend, Rachel on the right. Eddie's got a beard now. That was the lot at Alpine last year N1.

The second one is Sarah and her daughter, Amanda. Sarah's hair is shorter now but you get the idea.

The third one is Aimee, a picture from my phone. I think we were on our way down to Chicago for D+F 12/22/03. I don't know why she's sticking out her tounge but I'd like to reiterate her blow job for backstage pass promise.

Yeah, thursday night does seem a little early. Every year we have gotten there the day before the first show and there are only a few people already there. Guess i'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope it all works out! Im still nervous tho. I should have just reserved. Damn.

Wait till you meet Aimee. Like I said she's younger and gravity hasn't hit her as hard yet.

How on earth does Melissa handle your boob obession? Kevin just about had a fit when I said I reached "whore" status on the boards becuase he didn't understand what that meant and was all worried that I was *literally* whoring it up with my online buddies.

It's something about women in those hats with their tongues out that gets me. :D Melissa is okay with the boobs obsession provided I stay within my bounds. ;) Whore is such the wrong term for what we do in this thread. We should think of something different to call us.

Are any of you guys playing the setlist game here at ants? If you are, how are you guys going to make a setlist for night 2? are you just going to make it before you leave and hope you made good choices for night 2 with few repeats? I don't know about you guys but I'm in 7th overall right now and it's pretty important to me to get a good setlist in for Night 2 to keep my spot up. I don't suppose anyone knows if the Country Inn and Suites has internet access?

Guessing, but Jem will probably get 25-30 minutes (I've seen her, don't waste your time, IMHO.), assuming she starts close to 6 and figuring 15 min. for equipment change, I'd say 6:45 or 7.

It doesn't say so on the offical site, but according to the Reserve America (the site that you actually make the reservations on) there are showers. The map shows that just about each little loop has its own bathrooms and showers.

No idea where BOWA went... That was awesome to see that on the sets early on. Also, Recently better make an appearance! Really looking forward to that song. Heck, its been stuck in my head for 3 days now.

They usually take bigger gaps between playing seek up though, so lets hope for Alpine night two.

They don't mind, but they will come around and card people. Saw a bunch of kids get minor cunsumption tix. PS: I talked to a guy from work who went to the dead show at alpine last week and was told there were lots of undercover cops at the show dressed like crowd people and if anyone was doing things they are't supposed to they got cuffed. Okay. Here's the deal...

1) $5.00 per entry. Must get to WB in the premier lot on each night.
2) 20 songs selected (no penalty for picking too many songs)
3) 2 points for each song played
4) 2 point bonus for selecting in right spot (not including opener and encore closer)
5) 4 point bonus for correct opener and encore closer (last of your 20 songs)
6) Tie breaker is number of correct spots picked.

Crumbo will have taped N1 so we'll get the official results from him during N2 tailgating. As for N2 results, we'll go off what's posted here on ants. REMEMBER, ASTB and PNP count as songs, but other intro's (lap steel, bass, etc.) do not.

Questions??? Does this make sense???

I am officially unemployed. It feels so good. The drive home had blue skies and those big puffy clouds. Listened to a little of The Polyphonic Spree and grinned like a bastard.

Now, I have to go cram all my junk in my Jeep and fix the engine before we roll out tomorrow at 9:30. Weather looks beautiful, but it looks like we'll get some showers on sunday.

Brian: I'll see you and Jamon and the rest of your entourage at the Super Secret Meeting Spot which is just east of I-43 Exit #29.:) I'll be giving you guys a ring on friday night.

Tri-State area. I miss hearing that. Such a Chicago concept, like "Chicagoland." Up here it's "The Metro Area."

I'll bring plaint paper too but I made a form because I'm procrastinating answering discovery requests. Any way to get it on the boards or should I just bring 'em with?

I'm such a huge fan of MS Word tables. They're good for just about any purpose!

arizonalovesyou
08-05-2004, 07:26 PM

:monkey

What is the WB in the premier lot? Also, is the one entry for both nights or for one???

There's a button at the top of the box for your signature that has buttons (bold, italics, etc.). Click the one with the globe that has a link of a chain on it and follow the pop-up window... Like this...SETLIST POOL N1 (http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=16616)

Tonight's show is ridiculous. Seriously, I'd given anything to hear BOWA and I'll Back You Up. I don't even a own a show where the entire band does that one. Earlier today I decided those were the 2 songs I've never seen live that I'd love to hear the most, and now they go and play them one show too early. Aaarrrggghhhh!! Still, I can't wait for Saturday.

Have a safe one and watch for the WI troopers, they love those out of state plates(and they're goddamn sneaky). If you get ticketed in Wisconsin, they make you pay the fine immediately in cash as your bond if you're from out of state. Just a heads up.
