Fairly solid show tonight.
Was hoping for a more diverse set but happy with the show.
Loving Wings was a nice surprise.
The new songs continue to evolve and I'm really liking what I hear.
The best Jimi I've ever seen! Dave was going off!!!!
Quiet night for Boyd, early songs found him doing a lot of standing around, got more into it later.
Good energy overall from the guys.
I think the "woo's" are here to stay on Joyride unfortunately :(, they did the same lighting effect as they normally do for Warehouse (shining the crowd during the pause).

It's been a long weekend, off to bed.

Night 2 was way better in person! Lover lay down was a total highlight, so was seek up, and jimi thing. Altho IBYU was awesome night 1. Overall, great weekend though.

Just got back from Alpine. Boy what a spectacular weekend. Night 1 did do night 2 in pretty easy, but night 2 was still quite a thrill, highlights being Seek Up and Jimi Thing (Dave went absolutely nuts scatting, playing air drums, kicking out his legs wildly, doing everything quite Dave-ly). Lover Lay Down set the mood pretty nicely, but last night's encore kicked the crap out of tonight's encore (Crazy-Easy should not be an encore song). Tripping Billies in the encore was good, though. Overall just one hell of a great weekend.

i'd say the shows were pretty close as far as which was better...just depends on your song preference, overall a great 2 night run at a great venue but i have to say i honestly hate the traffic at alpine, it is an absolute nightmare...left the parking lot at 120 and i'd say there were still ten thousand people waiting to get out

i left at 1:30 and didn't have too many problems. i was in the yellow lot and we went out forwards toward the theatre and then out around the other side of the blue lot.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a fun weekend. :)

I was a little disappointed with last night (they played most of my least favorite songs! :lol ), but I got Seek Up, so feel I can't bitch too much. It was cool hearing 40,000 people sing along to it. I was happy I got to hear the new songs, and have a new appreciation for both Hello Again (sounded strong) and Sugar Will, although I like the jam at the end way more than the actual song. A guy behind me was a 6th year Warehouse member, so we spent the time in between songs talking about the setlist, new songs, and etc. which was nice because my husband isn't really a fan and just comes along to keep me company. I really dug Guster & Jem, and the cool frozen margaritas they sell now. :D

Premier parking was definitely worth it...I was sound asleep by 1:00 in my bed in Beloit. I looked for the giant stuffed monkey, but didn't see it anywhere. We didn't get there until 4:30, so were definitely at the rear of the premier lot.

Great shows and great weekend guys!! I didn't get to meet any of the Ants on here I wanted to, but I did come across a few here and there (the Alpine shirts got some GOOOOOD compliments!)

I would have to say the best part of this weekend would be that my friend gave my girlfriend and I an extra pair of 7th Row DEAD CENTER tickets RIGHT before the start of 8/7 show. WOW to witness IBYU, TYPICAL from up there is absolutely amazing, I will never forget this weekend. By far my best Alpine experience to date. I dont really feel like doing a song to song review but I think you all know ibyu, typical, seek up!, and lover lay down were up there in the ranks.

Here's to Alpine 04' :thumbsup ...........

Wow, it's an ugly day at work today... Enjoyed the show but probably would have been slightly happier seeing night one instead based on setlists. Great meeting everybody and hope everyone got home safe.

Saw the Loving Wings debate earlier -- I don't think Dave messed it up. IIRC, when I heard it kick in he wasn't near the microphone, so if he screwed up the lyrics he didn't do it out loud. Was a cruel tease in every sense of the word, though... :mad: Also Everyday -- #36 must have been first night since I know it wasn't last night.

Funny seeing the twins playing stage left and the roadies corralling them! May have to bring my boys next year (about the same age) so they can play with them during the show! I'll even volunteer to babysit! ;) Great to hear first live Seek Up and LLD, somehow I didn't get them at the '96 show I went to or since...

Premier Parking at Alpine = money, in both respects. Got out in 20 minutes or so, made it home to the SW burbs by 2:15... and up at 6:30 and here I am. :ugh:

Tho night 1 may look good on paper, night 2 definitely kicked some ass. Highlights were OSW, Seek Up, Jimi, Dido, JR, and WWYS. Could have gone w/o Fool, Sugar (not a big fan, killed the crowd after DDTW) and IDI. Stay had everyone singing in the lawn. The section of the lawn right infront of the pavillion on the left side was very quiet w/o much screamers. The three 14 yr olds were fun to watch dance. Overall an awesome night.

Dave's scat during Jimi Thing was really cool. He did his solo chords during the song but didn't bust out into his solo :( The scat made up for that though, it was awesome.
