[QUOTE=alpinevalley]Hi All:

Yes, we are still working on a seating chart update. Since we have had major roof repairs to the pavilion in the off season, large numbers of seats were removed to accomodate the construction. Those seats are not back in yet, so we are waiting before taking the pictures. Also, we are completely renovating our handicapped seating area and are having an engineer come in to do a brand new and more detailed seating diagram complete with seat beginning and ending numbers for each row. Once that is complete and the seats are in, you will see a new and much more improved seating chart on our site. I will let you know when this happens.

Do you think that this will be done before August? Just curious is all. Cheers!

I have been to a handful of shows since it turned into the Fillmore. I have been to shows there when it was Mammoth Evens Center. It is an awesome venue to see a show. I would definitly recommend going if someone you like is playing there. I saw 311 and Zebrahead there a couple years ago and most recently Atmosphere.

Modest Mouse~ Yesterday I was listening to the radio (WXRT 93.1 in Chicago, a really good radio station) and they DJ was saying something about this band called Modest Mouse, and he played something by them. I kept on thinking "Boy does that sound familar." Well it drove me crazy all night cause I couldn't think of where I heard that before. Then it finally came to me that it's your user name from ants. Just thought I would share that with ya :lol

Well, just got back with a new tent and air mattress for this summers tour, damn it's gettin closer. Only a month and a half till my first shows. Too bad alpines still a solid 3 away. Ah well, it's closer all the time.

On my way out to play some softball today. Joined another leauge this year, last year we went winless for the season so this year can only be better right? I hope so.

It's the best way to go out there. And oh so easy too. I forget already, it's at my girlfriends place. We got it at sears, it was on sale, 50 bucks off. It's a 2 room tent with an screaned in entryway. Should put it to good use this summer.

Oh, and Steve, what league are you in?

what are u doing to the handicapped section?
All of these things will be done before our first show on June 25, no worries. Handicapped seating is being totally redone to give our handicapped guests a deck that is above the standing crowd so they can see. Also, improved ramping is being added. Three rows of seats in section 201 were torn out and concrete work is already beginning on this project. It will be great when it's done.

Brian

ok, i read the first 10 pages, and got sick of reading....sooo my sister and i are thinkin about staying at BFB this year, after staying the past 2 years at Bong. The drive home from the concert is always horrendous, and last year we had a run-in with the law at our site. Just wondering how strictly the no-drinking rule is enforced(like can you just put it in a cup and be on your merry way?) or do they lay the smack down like the rangers at Bong? also, what are some good sites to camp at? it looks like a lot of people seem to be camping in the teens-20's sites...

I stayed @ Bong in '02 and I felt it was overly strict. They seemed to be unreasonably sensitive to reasonable volumes. I hear the group sites are far less scrutinized, but I would never stay at the individuals again.

Last summer at Bong, we had our little run-in with the rangers as from what i heard the next morning so did many other people. it was just my sister, my roomate and me, and we were being super quiet, only having a few beers the night before the first show. :angel all of the sudden, like 5 or 6 rangers come back to our site to check out what we were still doing up(it was only like 1 in the morning). first we got in trouble because my roomate and i weren't 21 yet and we were drinking, but then the shit hit the fan when they found our bag. Then they uttered the terrible phrase, "Ladies, what's in the bag?????" They proceeded to give my roomate an M.I.P. and me a possession of paraphenalia ticket which ran us a total of about $400 that we had to pay on the spot or go to jail...bad news
although that drama went down, i do have to say Bong isn't a bad park. It's really pretty and they drinking is allowed...just be careful!!!! As for us, I think we'll be at BFB this August (and hopefully June for the Phish shows) :)

I think he made a comment at one point that they haven't gotten their annual "ok" from DMB to allow the recording equipment, and that they usually don't until the band and crew shows up. Something like that, unless I dreamt it up.

Hi All:

Sorry about the delay in responding, but it's hiring season at Alpine and hiring a security staff of 400 is no easy task. Anyway, I just wanted to answer your question regarding recording equipment.

It's our theatre policy not to allow recording at any show. The security rider that we will receive from the band (typically 3-4 weeks before the show) will dictate if/how our policy changes.

So, to avoid dissappointment and the guest questions of, "I read at one point that recording was allowed, and now you say it's not..." we always post the most restrictive policies on the site for now until we get the "official" word on things.

So, if/when DMB says it's OK to allow recording and we read their policies surrounding recording, the day of show information on our site will be changed and I will most certainly let you know.

Happy Mothers Day...

Regards,
Brian

Hi:

You are correct, sections 101 and 201 have odd numbered seating beginning with the lowest numbers at the center aisle. Sections 103 and 203 have even numbered seating with the lowest numbered seats at the center aisle. Sections 102 and 202 have consecutive numbered seating starting with seat 100 and going up. Seat 100 starts on the aisle between 103-102 and 203-202. Hope that helps.

premier parking is in the main lot.....it's right near the entrance of the theater in the blue/red lot....your just aren't in the middle of the party.

Premier parking is worth it if you don't want to be stuck in the lot for 2-3 hours afterwords becasue there is an easy exit out.....and yes I have been in premier parking before:)

Yep, we actually set them off in '00, '01, and '02. Those things are a crowd pleaser, for sure. Each one goes for about 3-4 minutes, it should be fun. Some national fireworks chain is building in Beloit right now, at the same exit as Cornellier's (where y'all usually stop, I assume). From what I understand, they should be open by Alpine. The City Council is hasseling them right now though, so I'm not positive.

I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere when it comes to NHL teams. I am a Red Wings fan because one of their rivals is Chicago and it's the next closest team to Wisconsin than the Blackhawks. Actually, my license plate is "RD WNGZ". But, I'm also a Wild fan because Minneapolis is about as close as Detroit is.

I figure it's ok to have loyalties to two teams as long as I don't have a home NHL team.....we have the Admirals who are up 3-1 in the Calder Cup quarter finals over Chicago.

It's totally okay to have loyalties to two teams....I'm a Blackhawks fan because I grew up in Chicgao....and I'm a Wild fan because I've made Minnesota my home. Same with the Bears and the Vikings.

The only time it's troublesome is when they play one another. I usually end up cheering for Chicago because I lived there for the first 17 years of my life and have only been here in Minnesota for 7 years. Check back with me in 10 years and we'll see who I'm rooting for...

Why, do you have a problem with hockey?

OK......what is everyone's drink of choise while tailgating? I prefer MGD or Miller Lite....but any free beer is also good.

Good idea.

Recently purchased a vacuum sealer. I think it will be awesome for tailgating...we can marinate the meat and get everything all sealed up for the cooler, no watery veggie burgers or brats!

Haven't thought that far ahead yet....

Probably brats, hot dogs or chicken. Hamburgers are kind of a pain IMO. Sunday will probably be Subway (tradition for the Sunday show).

Probably hamburgers and hotdogs. The two easiest things to cook and eat in a parking lot without a table. Chicking would be awesome, but is too much hassle to eat if you actually wanna cut it up instead of eating it like a corn-dog. Although I suppose you could eat chicken like chicken-on-a-stick.

If you're making hamburgers, what's so much more difficult about making chicken breasts and putting them on hamburger buns? Just marinate it or slather some BBQ sauce on it.

Damn. I might hit up Costco and get me some fat steaks for night 1. I've got around 16 people coming up with me and we're all bringing our own grilling stuff. Mostly I go with burgers, brats, chicken, and even some shrimp ka-bobs.

Pork Chops and Burgers for the grill.
Blue Moon if it's sold up there, it seems like the only thing in WI is Miller products :BANG Captain and coke goes down nice. I usually only mix this up for CO shows, but since there isn't one maybe I'll make some skip and go naked...

Good idea! Is there a particular brand you recommend? Can these be purchased at an REI or Galyan's?I use the Motorola 5820. They have 2 mile and 5 mile versions. Look at the 5420 or 5620, as well. Supposedly, if you buy the 5 mile versions, you have to get a $30 FCC permit, but nobody ever does. Expect to pay about $30-$40 per pair.

Ultimate Electronics(formerly Audio King) has a good selection.

Tailgating:
We'll have ground cow patties, all-cow hotdogs, and bratwurst.

Amazingly, Alpine Valley features Budweiser products as part of Bud's True Music sponsorship. Strange, considering the proximity to Milwaukee.
