Yellow lot still dominates over premier.

Premier parking hotties are all invited to come hang with the cool people in the Yellow lot. ;)

I finally booked our hotel room. I am going to be staying at the Sheraton Milwaukee in Brookfield!!!!!!
Now do you need to get there early to get in the yellow lot, or does it all depend on which way you come in. I guarantee I screw it the directions.

good job!! :)
I'm thinking the trip is already costing enough that the extra $$ for the parking as of right now is on the back burner, I have enough expenses coming up as it is.

I still haven't decided on what to do either. I will get their earlier Night 2 than Night 1 cause we will have to check into our hotel. I do have to drive back to Chicago after Night 2, so getting out of there ASAP would be really nice.
Of course, just like the hotel I will wait till last minute :)

yeah I'm thinking of waiting til the last minute too to see how we feel...we're getting into Chicago on Friday and going to the Six Flags there the day before, then driving to Brookfield to check in that night, so we'll be fine sleepwise for Saturday, same with Sunday, and I dunno, I kinda like the whole tailgating scene AFTER the concert...nothing beats a post show hot dog :lol

Hi:
You are correct. No cameras for this show. Trust me on this, if you take a picture and we see it, you will lose your memory card, the film, and any associated batteries. Please, please, please leave cameras in your car. We really have better things to deal with than chasing after the flash bulbs. The tour security takes the no camera rules quite seriously and we are enforcing their policies. Thanks for your help.

Hi All:
I would love to stop over and meet some of you on the day of show, so look for me on my new wheels, a yellow Suzuki ATV. You will know it's me as there aren't any other yellow ones out there and mine has a #3 on the cargo box on the back of it. Just don't stop me if you see me speeding by with lights and siren on. :-)
Thanks,

Do whatever it takes to avoid having to park in the Green Lot. That hill is a killer. Going down you're fighting gravity. Going up (especially after an intense show with a libation or two) you're fighting God.

I was in the Green lot last year for night 1 and in the red lot the second night
We'll probably try to get in the Red lot (The lot closest to the gates). But I would want anything but the Green lot, that sucked walking there and back.

Hi:
Just a small note of clarification. If you come in our main theatre entrance and drive down Marquee Rd, the blue lot is on your left and is the long and narrow lot. The yellow lot will be on your right. It is the largest lot. As you pass our parking operations trailer/tower and the Walworth County Sheriff mobile unit, you will then have VIP/Premier on your left and the Red Lot on your right. The Red Lot is typically reserved for oversize vehicles. Green Lot is the smallest lot and is 0.7 miles down Pond Rd. from the theatre. Hope that helps.

Brian

Brian - Do they pack them in tight in Premier?? Basically, how's the tailgating scene in Premier??Hi:
Parking in Premier is set up just like the other lots. We do stadium style parking meaning that you will be parked front bumper to rear bumper with space in front of the front car for setup and space behind the rear car for setup. Keep in mind that there are limited numbers of spaces in Premier Parking and we have to account for spots for people who pre-purchased Premier before the show and of course all of our VIP season ticket holders as well. So, even if you see space available, VIP/Premier may be sold out based upon the number of spots needed to be "held" for pre-sold tickets.
Also, please be mindful that Premier Parking just gets you into the parking lots and is not a ticket to enter the theatre. Many people last year didn't get the concept that you need a show ticket -WITH- your Premier Parking ticket to actually get into the theatre, but all of you are much smarter than that. :-)

Brian

Hi All:
Not sure if this affects any of you, but Clear Channel implemented a policy change to ticketing/admission as of this morning.
For any shows at Alpine Valley, all children ages 2 & under will be admitted free of charge. If their parent/guardian has a reserved seat ticket, they will be required to sit on their parents lap during the show.
The previous policy was that all children, regardless of age were required to have a ticket to enter the theatre.
Thanks,
Brian

It's going to be kind hard to figure out exactly where we'll be sitting. We have six girls, with three different pairs of tickets. We'll keep the worse of the three pairs and then ask the people on either side of them if they would like to move to the better seats so that we can all six sit together. So I think it'll be 201 QQ Night 1 and 201 PP Night 2.

Don't have a scanner but will attempt to describe...
Tweeter: Green, grey, purple tye-dye swirl background. 3 elephants (does anyone have any idea why?) trunk to tail on bottom. DMB in funky font in silver inlay.
Alpine 1 (lawn): Green background w/ tree (dreaming, perhaps) kind of bown up/fuzzy in middle. Dave Matthews Band in all caps, silver inlay. Two more smaller trees at 9:00 and 2:00.
Alpine 2 (reserved): Orange/yellow pic of band on stage. Dave Matthews Band across top in silver inlay w/ only D, M & B Bold/3-d.

Oy, that may actually cause some problems. As it is Aimee and I have reserved seats for night 2 so we'll be separated from Sarah and Melissa that night for sure. Now if there's a special WH section it means we'll be at night 1 without them too. I can't imagine they'll be happy.

Well, it doesn't mean that you have to sit in the WH lawn section for N1. It just gives you the benefit of having a better section in the lawn. Plus, I think they are taking the ropes (or whatever they are using) down at some point before the boys go on stage. You could always scope your place in the WH section for N1 and then the rest of your group can come up when the ropes come down. Just a thought from another blonde. :D

A) Not all WH lawn tickets are in the preferred viewing section. If they are it will be noted in the seat location comments on the ticketing page.
B) I just returned from having run downstairs because I "thought" I heard the FedEx guy knocking on the door. Distraught because this was not this case, I ran back upstairs and managed to fall up the stairs. I now have rugburn on my shin.

Grille: Brand new baby Weber. Last year we put the grill under the front bumper until it cooled. Forgot about it after the show and drove right over it; made a hell of a racket. Ah, paychex. We do our payroll through them. That's just irresponsible...I hope they at least do some recycling.
We have some wierd rules about beverages around our computers, too. We're actually NOT allowed to use styrofoam cups becuase they're "too flimsy" and might get knocked over....we're required to use mugs for hot liquids and these (actually awesome) huge plastic tumblers for cold ones.

how can you tell that its a Dead show?
If you look closely, you can see two banners on the back of the stage: red, white & blue lightning bolts.
And if you look REALLY closely, the VIP lot is all VW buses.:lol :lol

Yep, Will has to be to work at 5:00 Monday morning, and I have to get our kids off to camp before 8:00 that morning, so getting home quickly is a must.

What is the time frame on getting out of the lot quick?? 30 minutes, an hour or so?
When all y'all bought the Premier parking, does it say in writing that you will get out quick or is it just word of mouth?
What if you have to wait in traffic...do you get your money back??
Oh yeah...the Yellow lot is free of charge :monkey

premier parking has a separate exit....you can get out in about 15 minutes
you will be in the yellow lot for at least 2 hours before you can even attempt to get out unless you park in the way back of it

chances are you won't hit anything. Just be confident with your driving and don't be too passive about fighting your way into a line of cars or you will get people behind you mad at you.

Exactly. You really need to be a little aggressive about taking your spot in line, but don't push it and turn into one of those assholes that just keeps inching and inching towards another car and ends up cutting them off completely without even a courtesy wave. Those people SUCK. :violent

Hi:
The Premier Parking and VIP Parking lots have a separate exit that get you out of the grounds more quickly than any other route out of the theatre. Sorry, you don't get your money back if you wait in traffic, but believe me in that you will get out more quickly in Premier than the yellow parking lot.
The key here is to actually watch our parking attendants. Remember that we all have radios and will wave you to the quickest exit based on traffic volume in the lots and on the roadways.
See you in a couple of months.
Regards,
Brian

I'm in for N2. I've got some people who accidently purchase premier for N1 in my group but I don't want to make it easy on them by going premier that night. Plus, I've got other people in the group that don't really want to spend any more dough.
