Because all we're doing is watching words pop up on a computer screen. We have no idea how the band is playing, how much energy they have, how much the crowd is into it, etc. Those are all important factors in how good a show is.

And if you feel that they need to play super-rare songs for you to be excited, then you should probably either make your expectations realistic, or take a break from DMB.

Maybe we just have different criteria for deciding the best set of a tour. For me, best set means the set I, personally, would enjoy the most based on the songs I've seen so far, and this is it. You're right, it probably isn't the overall best set of the tour, but it's the one I would most like to be at.

However, the same thing will happen that almost always happens: people will come back from the show and say that it was amazing, that it rocked, that they had a great time, etc.

amazing seek up, crush, jimi thing, and quite a jamming grey street tonight. I have to say the encores for both camden nights were somewhat anti-climactic, but nonetheless, Dave sounded stronger tonight than Ive ever heard him. Joy Ride and Hello Again from tonight were especially splendid for anyone interested in the new tunes. Great crowd, aside from brutal fights in the lots, but all in all, a great stop for DMB in Camden this year.

tonight, the band was energized....go read the road page on dmband.com.........the crowd and the band was amped, which in turn usually leads to a solid to very good show, which tonight absolutely qualifies, and I am saying that having seen the band in 9 different states......no homer mentality at all

No, not really. This was far from the best show I've been to, but I still had a great time. There was a lot of energy coming from both the crowd and the band. Another solid two-night stand in Camden.

Gonna have to COMPLETLY disagree with you on this one, that show flowed a lot better and the encore/setlist/eergy was a lot better in NY then NJ. Tonite was a pretty good show though, I'd have to give it a 7 overall. I'd like to have cut out the awful 1-2 punch of "Where are you going" into "sugar will" and also the encore needed to be more upbeat. The crowd was also a little antsy, as people were leaving well before the encore came on. Overall though it was another stellar performance, especiallu during the Jimi Thing rant.

It was a great show. Solid performance, tons of energy. I liked when Boyd kicked the ball back into the crowd. I have to say that I had one song, when asked before the show, that I wanted to hear - Seek Up . 2 notes into it I was really really happy. It amazes me how the band has tightened the new songs in just a month. They are really good now. The crowd does not all sit down or run for the beer tent when they come up.

A few notes: Tons of energy by the band and crowd. Well behaved crowd (compared to Hartford) I did not see the fights someone was referring to. I did not get pushed one time entering or leaving. Tweeter is a beautiful venue that ended up being easy to get out of - although Camden is a bit rough. The cops did a great job - nailed some guy who tried to drive through the crowd and almost hit us. I agree with people who say good good time should not be in the encore, but Billies saved it. I continue to be amazed with Carter - he must have 4 arms. Finally, I am not a fan of most opening acts, but N E R D was good. If you were up front you saw that Dave sat and watched the first 20 min of their set and Carter watched the last half.

How can you say this...are you that easy to please that you would blindly accept anything they do? This is the reason for the repetitive setlists this year, because even people who consider themselves diehard fans are content to listen to the same songs every night.

The set might not look that great but It was a great show not as good as last night, but I think the band played their music better tonight highlights- Seek Up of course, the stone was amazing, and jimi...Oh billies as well. I just wish wwys, went into ants....
