The only downside to taking the ferry is missing all the fun in the parking lots. Last year I did both and I have to side with the tailgating scene. Absolutely out of control, there were tanks everywhere and plenty of partying. Camden is a slum city though and traffic does suck out of the lots.

The first Camden Dave show I went to we drove and it took us 2 1/2 hours just to get out of the parking garage (near the aquarium). Everyone actually started up the grills and began tailgating after the show because we knew we had a long wait.
Anyway we now take the ferry over. If you plan well, you can meet up with people and bring a backpack with beer and tailgate. That is how I met the 'ants' last year.

oh you can expect to wait hours til you finally get out of the lot. It's quite frustrating. Once you get out of the lot and onto the streets, cops seem to direct you in going the way you don't want to. They block off the roads you want.

Re the traffic - yeah, it sucks. It took close to 90 minutes to get out of the parking lot after Sting... and a lot of the older folk were leaving the show early (of course, the PR Day parade was that day, and I think that totally messed things up). Don't plan on being anywhere at any time soon afterwards ;)

as for the chronic, yeah, its easy. i usually make sure its not in a pocket...some makeshift place that it will stay for the 5 minutes till im in....even so, i have witnessed tthe guards pull out weed from someones pockets, and give it right back to them.

I am taking the ferry over both nights. We will probably do a little tailgating there. I've already had one semi-run in with the Camden police that it's not worth it. Plus the traffic isn't as bad from there.

Seems as though we will need to get a Philly/Camden tailgate group together. Although I was at the 311/The Roots show on Friday at the Festival Pier on Penns Landing and there were all sorts of posted signs that said no tailgating (which really didn't stop anyone...especially the balloons and that noise cannot really be mistaken.) But the cops didn't do anything and I am not sure if it's the same rules down at the ferry lot.

The good thing about being way off to that side is that you can be one of the first ones to your car and beat the traffic, of which there is a lot at camden.

:rolleyes: I just found out that my tickets are on the last row of the reserved section. I am thinking about selling and just getting lawn. I think it might save the extra 20 bucks. I dont know what 5 feet closer will do. But anywayz is anyone trying to sell tickets?? Maybe there will be tickets in the box office on the day of the show. The Pavillion is a pretty small venue. Even if you are in the last row of the place, you still have some pretty bitchin seats. The lawn is actually WAY bigger than the pavillion, so please guys, share the love, keep the tix, and get ready to PARTY!

I'm not complaining about my seats.....too much ;)........I could get slightly better ones, I just don't know how easy it would be to sell the pavilion seats I have now and I don't want to get stuck with an extra set.

I just hope we're not too far to the side that you can't see much. I'd like my friend to like the show so hopefully I can go to more DMB shows with her out east. 7 days from now I'll be drivin to NJ......can't wait :)
