I agree about bartender. Blew me away big time!!!
All in all a very good show. Some slow ones toward the beginning, but still mostly solid songs. The only ones I really could have done without was WTWE and WAYG, but who couldn't.
Hello Again was BADASS!! Carter had a freakin awesome solo! Def one of the highlights of the night. Also loved BOWA opener, that was a surprise. As was mentioned before Bartender was sooo good, probably the best I've seen. I think it was as good as the folsom field version if not better. Would have liked a more high energy song to close the set than Everyday, and thought they might do another one after they played that but it still was good, with a long #36 chant at the end(almost too long). Encore was tight, both songs had tons of energy and billies was off-the-wall!
Still no surprises though. I dont know if anyone else heard the Loving Wings Tease right after Hello Again and right Before WAYG. the 2 guys right behind me were going nuts and screaming for Dave to play it, but he only played the first few notes then started up WAYG. I was dissapointed by this, cause i fear loving wings wont be making a comeback. Hopefully they play it again soon.

Very good show, lots of energy, and the new songs are getting better each time! This was my third show of the tour so far, and its nice to watch the new ones develop. See yall tomorrow!!!!

Just got back from Night 1. I know i'll get shot down for this, but Night 1 at the meadows might have been better than night 2 at SPAC. Please don't hurt me.

For the record:

-Those teases listed on the DMB website was just dave messing around with some chords. Nothing to be excited about.

-However, I did pick up on two very distinct teases. Proudest Monkey was teased before Satellite and Loving Wings was teased before Where Are You Going (both dave solo). Anyone else pick up on these?

-Crazy-Easy had an extended outro and Hello Again had an extended intro.

-Bartender was far and away the best song of the night.

just woke up- great show last night- BOWA opener was sweet- no electric guitar from dave the whole night- carter had an unreal drum solo in hello again- proudest monkey was teased before satellite as was loving wings before where are you going- amazing encore, after they played an awesome, jammed out version of WWYS, it looked like the other band members started to get up to walk off stage, but dave started the nature intro to billies and they stayed to play and awesome version- the new songs are really coming along, i heard completely new lyrics to joy ride and crazy-easy- my only complaint would be sugar will, which seems to be a crowd killer no matter where it is in the setlist- but throw in the stone, DIDO and bartender and i really cant complain- dave and carter were having an awesome time, high fiving after almost every songs- great show.

I don't know dude...I really liked sugar will last night. Its a mellow song and I guess it does kinda quiet things down, but its a great jam. Butch really adds a lot with the jazz organ. Billies was sick. Thats all I have to say about last night...I like this warehouse preferred section thing too. The crow wasn't that bad around there. Lookin forward to night two from row seven!

as far as jai alai goes.. what a joke. first they close off the main exit off of 91 to get to the meadows.. then we finally get there and find that jai alai is no longer free? that was just crap. we parked in the free parking lot across from the entrance to the meadows parking lot (between the meadows and jai alai) we had fun there and will be going back today most likely

I was happy with the setlist last night. I wasn't happy with the parking (charging $25 at Jai Lai) or the whole Meadows scene (cops, ambulances, city) I am def. going to be @ SPAC again next year.

Met Greppson, bbrianblaze, explicitrydes, julia21. also met up with halloween21. Called a few folks off the list, nobody really took the intiative to call me, but thats ok. Actually pretty easy, when your standing in the mass of people to get in, take the camera and put between your legs (in your pants/shorts, loose ones obviously)
Since they cant frisk your private areas (some sorta sexual harassment thing)
Its alittle uncomfortable to walk for a minute but once you get inside take it out and put back in your pocket.
Also a good way to get a small bottle of alcohol in. ;)
(I'd suggest wrapping it in a napkin or paper towel, so as to not sweat all over it, ewwww :rolleyes: )

We had fun in Hartford tonight! There was a great vibe in the room all night. The show sounded really good and the lights and video were spectacular. Everything gelled just right. Great show last night, BOWA as an opener kicked ass, Bartender was sweet, Crazy-Easy had a couple of Roi solos in it with an extended outro, Hello Again was awesome, just a good show. Carter's wrist might be wrapped up but it doesn't seem to bother him at all.

A good show to end my shows this summer!

Just got back and have to say that seeing the band from so close is absolutely amazing...as for the setlist...not so amazing. I was hoping a for a killer set to end my summer but instead got a very average set...by far my least fav of the summer. I'll break it down by songs:

BOWA - Awesome opener thought the night was gonna be off the hook

OSW - Thrid time hearing it in 4 shows this summer....way overplayed

Granny - Great version one of the better scats at the end

Crazy Easy - Love this song and cool jam at the end

WTWE - Like the song but didn't want to hear it tonight

Grace is Gone - More like energy is gone....OVERPLAYED and its jsut not good without the hillibilly jam

Satellite - Nice to get a debut and a solid song with proudest monkey tease

Joy ride - Great Energy

Stone - Solid

Crush - Love the song but once again the third time in 4 shows

Sugar Will - not bad..its growing on me...bad spot for this song

DIDO - Thank the lord for this song...LOVED IT

Bartender - Best Version I have ever seen

Hello Again - By far the best one yet and Carter's solo was amazing...Highlight of the show

WAYG - Loving wings tease before it was better than this entire song

Everyday - I love this song but not to close...Com on...although it was a great version

WWYS - Prelude before it no big deal but the song was awesome...great jam

Tripping Billies - Always love to hear this song but once again third time as encore closer in 4 shows...Awesome jam though

Overall it was and alright show and the crowd Sucked...no energy what so ever...so many times I looked back and saw entire sections sitting....and people are assholes....I made a sign that said " CARTER GET WELL SOON " and ran down to the front at the end to see if he could see it to get a stick...so he comes over laughs at my sign then throws it to me but everyone goes for it i get it and then this other kid holds onto for dear life in like dude i had the sign it was to me and he was like ITS MINE...So I said screw it your an asshole...ppl at SPAC and darien are so much cooler than that....Oh well

Tim good review of the songs, but i thinkthe energy of the crowd was just insane. The decibals ranging with ppl screaming, my ears are still ringing. The energy was vibrating, espcially when he came out with his scats during Granny, when Satellite came out of nowhere (of course we were shocked bc my friends was fiending to hear it), and during Dave/Boyd/Carter's Jam. I loved it.

It was worth all the shit i had to go through - just to see the boys.

Spent last night on the lawn and had a good time. Anyone haveproblems at will call? My wife and I waited in line for an hour and a half in a nasty swamped group of people. Fans were getting pushed, punched and stepped on the whole time. Once you got your tickets there was no where to move so you got trampled more in line. The hartford PD did a great job of leaning on the railing and doing nothing. I asked them if they were going to fix this mess and get things under controll. There answer "That's not our problem". Glad I finaly got in and saw the show. That ticket office was a mess. Only 4 people working.

Yes aside from the other two teases, I heard a seek up tease before BOWA. Maybe forshadowing tonight. . .
i was 4th row and was waiting for it, but it wasn't there. i'm almost positive it wasn't that.

i he was playing that improv thing again a couple times(i think right before bowa and wwys)(see 6.17.04 and the other times he has done it)... and then... proudest monkey tease before satellite... other than, nice set last night.

during carter's solo in hello again, he did this little bit and it sounded like they were going straight into halloween... everyone cheered, but then he petered it out, played a little more and then went into the end of hello again.
