What would we all do if we couldnt complain about something we love so much?
How about no denver show, or colorado for that matter. CO was dmb's 2nd home at one point. (yeah, i know, that was a long time ago...I'm still hanging on to that fact though)

damn. what does it take to please everyone?people pointing out the bitching has gotten more predictable and more of a cliche than the complaining itself. If people are pissed that their favorite band is not playing at a venue that they usually do, let them come here to vent and discuss it.

Shoreline.
I really don't get it. The only thing I can think of is that there was a scheduling conflict at Shoreline.
I mean, what is the purpose of playing to Northern California shows (as in above the San Francisco Bay Area)?

Little Rock, AR. That was my first concert in my home state and I was SO glad they finally came to Arkansas. I looked at the tour dates today and it made me SO mad they weren't coming back. Hopefully they have a winter tour planned for arenas and maybe they'll hit Little Rock back up.....that'd be awesome!

If they come to Arkansas in the winter that would be the bomb. The only thing I can see why they didn't come back is because Altell didn't sell out. Not even close. I remember the upper bowl at the far end of the arena was empty. I'm with you and I do hope they come back sometime but I can't imagine when... :(

I was there too!!!! I was 12th row floor. What a sick show!! I didn't think the two step was too powerful but the Tripping Billies to close the set was bad ass. That was an excellent night. I agree that the crowd was good but they certainly didn't sell it out. I go to college in arkansas and I've been to a bunch of shows at Altel Arena and none have ever sold out. I saw Mayer there and they didn't even open up half of the upper level. It was a pretty good show though.

Its easy for you to say. Why don't you say that to fans outside the US who will never get a chance to see the band. I can understand that people shouldn't bitch if they can only go to 4 shows instead of 6, etc. But when there is no possibility of getting close to a show, that is dissappointing. People can be dissappointed about a tour. There is nothing wrong with that. It has nothing to do with the band. It is more overall dissappointment with not being able to see a great band. This doesn't apply to me, but for many it does.

For people complaining about a lack of shows in the NYC area, here's something to consider. Most if not all of the venues on this tour are outdoor venues. Knowing realistically that DMB is not going to play at Giants Stadium or Jones Beach any time soon, where is there an outdoor venue in the NYC area?

1/2 hour drive to montreal or 7 hour drive to toronto. Toronto being the only canadian show it will sell out very quickly which means we would be way back in the lawn area whereas we would be able to get half decent floor seats in Montreal. They're just annoyed that DMB won't be near them this time around, that's all. Yeah I know people in other countries never get to see them. And again, its not that we're completely dissatisfied. Just expressing that you're slightly ticked about having to drive a few hours to see DMB doen't deserve a speech on how Argentinians never get to see them.

i think comparing new york shows to california shows is like comparing apples and oranges
its nearly 400 miles from la to sf(lets say the two areas that would host shows)....if the people out east are going to say california has more shows etc....i think they need to look at how close everything out east is and add to that total everything in penn, ny and ma.
im sorry but im sick of the east coast and the winning that comes out of it

I agree with most of what you're saying David...I'm just saying it's bullshit for California residents to whine about the DMB tour dates when Dave will have played there 13 times in a 13-month period (by the end of this tour). Especially in light of the many states that never see shows at all and our friends up in Canada that only get one stop this tour. I don't think Cali DMB fans have it better off than NY or East Coast fans at all...but they do have it better off than a lot of other fans across the U.S./Canada...so they shouldn't complain :)

:thumbsup
Not to mention the Montreal show is always more energetic crowd wise and just a better party town overall. Toronto is crap compared to Montreal. I know because I've lived in both cities
I'm not a fan of Toronto as a city either and Montreal is just amazing, but the venue in Toronto is amazing.
As for Ottawa, I wish DMB would play an outdoor concert at LeBretton (sp?) Flats. I think that would be pretty sweet.

me too.
not to mention. most montrealers usually do the montreal/spac shows. i have too much pride to go to a show in toronto (saw 04.19.02; shitty crowd). its a good thing ill be in tibet/nepal during the summer tour.
cheers.

you got to get a thai text msg handphone. we had them over there a few years ago, they let you communicate anywhere. my buddies are in tibet now parasailing, that's how we communicate when internet is not available and even when the sat phones crump out.

1. Spac
2. Shoreline
3. Montreal
They have never played in Canada without going to Montreal and anyone who goes to all of the Canadian shows knows that Montreal is always the best one crowd wise
BOO YAH! By the way, my friend and I both e-mailed the band complaining that they're not coming to Montreal, and we both got the exact same bullshit reply, word for word:
While the band would love to play everywhere it is just not possible for
them to do so. As far as we know, the dates posted are the only tourdates.
If more dates get added we will email all Warehouse members. We hope to see
you at a show this summer.
Cheers!
The Warehouse Crew
We should get as many ppl as we can to e-mail them about Montreal and see how long it takes before they get off their asses and write a real response.
