I'm all excited since everyone is planning their summer tour trips already. I know several good friends of mine from the boards are meeting up at Gorge and in other venues.
What is everyone using to book their flights and plan their trips? I'm going to use Cheaptickets.com and either Warehouse or Ticketmaster for tickets.

Orbitz seems to have some really good deals, and i always use expedia for my hotels.
As far as the flights go, I have 3 free tickets coming to me, so it's not a problem.... :D

you should definately check out Southwest.......as of right now you can't check out flights on the computer for that far in advance....but if you call, they've got tickets for Sea/Tac at $99 each way if you book far enough in advance.
i love southwest :) cheap and always a direct flight (99% of the time)

Since I am NE I am gonna checkout all the shows within a 5 hour drive..hershey..darien...nissan VA...Jersey..Hartford...And my one flight might just be the gorge this year...Being a huge fan and seeing the band at many great venues already..and hearing so many good things about the gorge...I have to go! What do you guys think Gorge? or fly elsewhere? I am leaning gorge just so I can say I went to the gorge too...everyone always tells me how great a venue it is...I believe them just wanna experience it too...

I'm planning to hit at least one night in Pittsburgh, which is near the begining of the tour, and then head out to the Gorge on Labor Day weekend. My mom will be pissed that I'm spending so much money but you only live once. :D I won't get another chance to hit the Gorge if I don't do it this year.

I am thinking about just driving everywhere. Pittsburg (9 hours), Hershey (4 hours), Meadows (walk out of where I work). I am really looking forward to a nicg long roadtrip. I am trying real hard to spread the shows out a bit this year.

Have you checked yet at Alpine to see if they do it by lottery, if the box office will be open, etc... I thought I saw somewhere it was only open on days of shows, and is the box office you would buy tickets at in East Troy, or is it in Milwaukee or something? I know for Deer Creek theres a box office in an actual part of Noblesville, and it said on the site they do it by lottery. I'll give Alpine a call about it, but I figured if you knew already, I might as well ask you.

This will be my fist major concert trip. I have done amusement park road trips before but this is a little different. I live in Cleveland and I am hitting all the shows in Indiana, Columbus, Pitsburgh and back in Cleveland. Then I plan on hitting Darien, Hershey and Cinncy. If I could get good seats for the Chicago show I will add that to the list too. I am driving to all of the shows. The stretch of 8 shows in a row is going to be a blast. I am doing all of the shows solo and just leaving my house and driving. I am just going to look for local hotels after the shows. I'm excited becuse I have had a rough winter personally and I need this trip. I can't wait to eat, drink, and be merry and enjoy the shows and meet new people. Any advice from people would be great!
