COME EARLY

Parking lots and concert gates open (on average) 2 hours prior to show time. For more popular concerts or when a large attendance is expected, we suggest planning your travel time so that you arrive at AmSouth Amphitheatre no later than 60 minutes prior to the show. Again this year, when the gates open, local and regional musical groups will be featured on the Second Stage located in Plaza One.


COME HUNGRY

Our party plazas feature great food! A wide variety of sandwiches, hot snacks and cold beverages for every taste are offered. Please be aware that in our parking lots, no alcohol, glass bottles, open fires or grills of any kind are permitted. Open container laws in parking lots are strictly enforced.


DRESS COMFORTABLY

Most of our patrons wear comfortable shoes and cool summer shorts.


PARTY SMART

Beer, wine, and mixed drinks are sold at most events, but there are strict I.D. checkpoints. Please carry proper identification and always appoint a designated driver. Complimentary soft drinks are available at the Holiday Inn Hospitality Hut (located just inside the main entrance gate) for guests who participate in the designated driver program.


SAFETY FIRST

Our event staff is always available to assist you. We also have Nashville Metro police officers to patrol inside and outside the pavilion. Additionally, all AmSouth Amphitheatre events are staffed by trained medical professionals should a medical emergency arise. If medical attention is required, ask any facility staff member for assistance.


NEED ADDED HELP

We offer a lost and found center, should you lose any of your personal possessions, in addition to a courtesy check for items not permitted inside the facility.


PARKING

Parking lots with ample lighting are adjacent to the amphitheatre. For your convenience, there is no parking fee to pay at the gate, to ease your entrance into the venue.


WE'RE BARRIER FREE

AmSouth Amphitheatre extends a warm welcome to persons with special needs. Parking is located directly adjacent to the main gates for both vans and automobiles that display a state issued handicapped parking permit or placard. Should you or any member of your party require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to ask a parking attendant. Accessible seating is available for physically and visually challenged patrons in the reserved sections. Patrons are requested to specify their need for accessible seating at the time tickets are purchased. Restrooms and other amenities have been designed to accommodate special needs as well. Additionally, interpreters are provided if requested 3 weeks prior to an event. For questions or added assistance please call 615-641-5800 during regular business hours.


DESIGNATED DRIVER PROGRAM

Aramark Entertainment and AmSouth Amphitheatre staff members encourage guests to drink responsibly at the pavilion. Become the designated driver for your group for the evening by signing up at the Hospitality Hut and receive a coupon good for free bottled water or soft drinks.


SPECIAL NOTICE

Please be advised that weapons, alcohol, food, beverages, laser pointers, coolers, pets, or lawn chairs of any kind are NOT allowed through the gates. For the safety of all our guests, patrons may be subject to search, which may include the use of metal detectors.


POLICIES AND RULES

It is our intention for all of our guests to have an enjoyable experience while attending an event at AmSouth Amphitheatre. It is also extremely important our guests to understand our policies exist for their safety and for the safety of others. For your protection we have a few rules… · No alcohol or glass bottles are allowed in the parking lots. · Animals, with the exception of those trained to assist our special needs guests, can be unpredictable and may cause harm to other guests. Therefore animals are not permitted in the facility. · Shirts and shoes are required for entry in to all events. · Weapons of any type, fireworks, and illegal substances of any kind are strictly forbidden. · The use of cameras and recording devices are restricted by nearly all performers. · As a courtesy to other guests...personal lawn chairs of varying heights may not be brought in to the Amphitheatre. Special low-profile lawn chairs are available for rent just inside the main entrance gate. · Standing on seats is not permitted due to the fact that it causes an obstructed view for other guests and this action can be very dangerous. The seats are not designed for standing and if a person were to fall, they could be seriously injured. · Standing or sitting in the aisles or at the entrances to the seating areas is not allowed due to the established fire code. We are required by law to maintain open aisles for the safety of all guests. · Due to the close proximity of reserved seats, we request that there be no smoking in any of the reserved seating areas. Smoking is welcome in the plazas, on the lawn, in the "Camel Club" and in the VIP Club.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS

A. The sun always shines at AmSouth Amphitheatre! But, in the event that the rain does come, we hope that you will too. You've heard the old saying, "the show must go on" and that is also true, regardless of the weather, due to the tight touring schedules of performers. Raincoats or ponchos are the preferred protection for rainy weather conditions, since the use of umbrellas would block the view of other paying guests. Also, if you have a lawn seat and it has been raining, you may want to bring a piece of plastic to put under your blanket to keep it from getting wet. Please don't forget that no refunds are issued in the event of inclement weather.


WHAT CAN I BRING TO THE CONCERT

A. You are welcome to bring blankets, pillows, and binoculars to the Amphitheatre for most events. For your protection and that of those around you, we ask that you leave coolers, bottles, cans, food, laser pointers, beverages, umbrellas, chairs, cameras, and audio or video recording devices at home. Please be aware that you may rent lawn chairs at the show.


CAN I LEAVE TO RUN TO MY CAR

A. Re-entry into the facility is not permitted and pass-outs are not available. Please make a mental note when securing and leaving your vehicle and make certain you have everything you'll need for the evening.


WHERE ARE THE RESTROOMS

A. Permanent and plentiful restroom facilities along with chilled water fountains are conveniently located in all our plazas.


WHERE CAN I SIT

A. In addition to theatre style seating in the pavilion, under a sheltered roof, we have a spacious hillside available for seating. The lawn is equipped with strategically placed large video screen monitors under the stars so that you may sit back and enjoy the music. There's really nothing quite like the experience of enjoying a spectacular concert under the stars on a clear summer evening. Concert fans can spread out their blankets and enjoy the show while stretching out on the spacious lawn. Clear views of the stage and natural outdoor acoustics deliver exceptional sight and sound to audiences on the lawn. The festival lawn seating is general admission, with first-come first-served seating, so plan to come early and spend the evening with us!


WHAT ABOUT PARKING AT AMSOUTH AMPHITHEATER

A. The parking lots typically open 2 hours prior to show time. We offer an abundance of well-lighted and secured parking spots to make access to the pavilion easy for our guests. Specialized spaces have been designated for disabled parking, parking for motorcycles, and parking for season seat holders.


WHAT IS AN AMPHITHEATER

A. Amphitheatres have been around for thousands of years as outdoor arenas for meetings and performances. In recent years, amphitheatres have become very popular as outdoor music and entertainment centers. AmSouth Amphitheatre features modern, state-of-the-art acoustics and large screen video monitors, with the ability to accommodate over 12,000 guests. Located just 15 minutes southeast of Nashville, Tennessee, we present the biggest names in live entertainment each season. (Please refer to our "Getting There" page on this web site for complete printable directions and an area map.)


IS THERE AN ATM AT THE FACILITY

A. Yes, of course we have a "money mover" available for our guests to use. An ATM is located at the base of the festival lawn seating area in Plaza One. The ATM accepts VISA, Master Card, Cirrus, and local bankcards. Also, for your convenience, we have pay phones available for your use inside and outside the entrance gates.


HOW CAN I BUY A BACKSTAGE PASS

A. Unfortunately, backstage passes are NOT for sale! Typically, backstage passes are very limited in number and usually only provided by radio stations, fan clubs, or the artist's management team or record label. If passes are available, a fan's best hope is to win a pass by keeping their radios tuned to their favorite station for contest details.


WHAT PERFORMERS CAN I SEE IN 2003

A. The typical concert season at AmSouth Amphitheatre runs from Mid-April through October. Tune into your favorite radio stations for the latest breaking additions to our line-up. Also, you may watch for television commercials and newspaper ads in "The Tennessean" or the "Scene" for concert announcements. Additionally, you can always check this website for up to the minute information about upcoming shows or call 615-248-2355, our official concert hotline. For a complete listing of upcoming concerts at the pavilion, pay close attention in April and May!


DO I NEED TO BUY A TICKET FOR MY YOUNG CHILD

A. Children 2 and under do not need a ticket if they will be sitting on an accompanying adult's lap. Before leaving for the concert, please keep in mind the importance of protecting your small one's hearing. Should the music be too loud for your child, please contact a member of the AmSouth Amphitheatre staff and they will assist you in obtaining earplugs for your child.


CAN I BRING A SIGN WITH ME

A. Signs and banners cannot be brought into the facility. We understand that you want your favorite artist to know how special they are to you, but unfortunately signs, flags, posters, and banners obstruct the view of other paying guests.


Food and Beverages may not be brought into the theatre Umbrellas, flagpoles, fireworks, and other potentially unsafe objects are not permitted on theatre grounds. Cameras or any type of recording devices are not permitted on theatre grounds. However, some artists allow non-professional still cameras at their events. Please call the theatre on the day of the performance for more details. Tailgating and drinking are not permitted in theatre parking lots. A wide variety of food and beverages is available inside the theatre before and during every performance. Reselling tickets is not permitted on theatre grounds. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. All patrons will be required to show valid identification before purchasing any alcoholic beverages. ACCESSIBLE SEATING Accessible seating and parking is available. For more information call (262) 642-4400. EMERGENCY SERVICES Paramedics trained in advanced life support techniques are on-site during all events. PARKING Ample parking is available at The AmSouth Amphitheatre. Accessible Parking is available for vehicles displaying official Handicapped tags. Drop Offs and Pick Ups are easily accessible. After entering any of the theatre's main entrances, drivers will be directed to the drop off area. When picking up passengers, drivers should arrive at the theatre at least 45 minutes before the performance ends and return to the same area where drop off occurred. Anyway I don't have Cinci tickets yet, I am hoping for another miracle like last year...we walked up to the box office an hour before the show and bought 7th row dead center!! Amazing. Honestly, it's not bad. Lots and lots of people will be there too. I have stayed there the last two years and it's been a blast before and after the show. I just made reservations. 92.95 USD plus Tax Information: T 14.25%. A suite is 129 and looks damn nice.

I too, hope they/he shows up. That banjo is just so fucking cool. But, Mike Durahm was awesome....I dont remember what song(s) he played on, but I just remember him completely rocking out on elec. guitar. Oh, and Guster to open the show......that should be good too. I heard O.A.R open at 1st day at Deer Creek this year. So, this year, I actually will get to hear two good openers. Just Decided on a huge Roadtrip from Albany NY goin south for DMB...i was at both SPAC nights...had Tix to Darien Lake...didnt make it...major plans for night two at Hartford fell through...and Antioch was never taken into consideration...but its a go!!!
