Very nice! I hope you have a safe trip. I think you'll like Deer Creek, it's a nice place to see any show, but a great place to see DMB!
Thanks! I can't wait...I've heard only good things about Deer Creek :)

Sunday's tickets are a bule back ground with a white fire dancer
Monday's tickets are a yellow/orange picture of the band on stage (I like this a lot)

stupid question
Is there tailgating allowed in the parking lot?
holbiedmb914

i believe so Crumbo
at least ive done it in the past
also, does anyone know where the boys usually stay when in Indy?

I've never had much luck trying to tailgate in the parking lot. I know for sure, once they open the gates, they come around and make you move inside. One summer, the gates were not open yet and they still would not let us sit in the car. We were not doing anything, just wanted to here some music rather just stand in line, but no dice.

they stay at the canterbury downtown. i have a few friends that have seen dave wandering around in/near circle centre.
also, i went to grateful threads last week and bought a new firedancer sticker (the other one was old and scraped up) and the chick working gave me the 2004 tour sticker. she said they had just gotten them in that day. woo hoo! i know, it's really not that exciting, but i'm easily excited. (especially with the tour starting in 2 days) ;) woo hoo!

Me and my friends had no problem tailgating last year. We chilled out by our cars till 7:45. Plus we chilled afterwards till about an hour and a half after the show until we got kicked out.

I just won two passes to the WTTS 92.3 afternoon private concert with o.a.r.!
This should be pretty cool. I won tickets for one they did with Howie Day, the had to be 150 people there tops.

I've found the tailgating situation variable - depends on whether the security guys in your area are cool. In general they don't like you getting out lawn chairs, and usually they try to get you to go in shortly after the gates open at 5 (-ish). We did the Premier Parking the last 2 years and had no problems (I guess they figure for $20 they can give you a break.... ). BTW I would recommend the Premier Parking especially if you're heading south after the show, the lot is right by the gate, you do get out of the lot within 15 minutes and you don't get routed the extra 5 miles north out of your way like the other lots.
I heard a rumor "no blankets", but of course they'll rent you a blanket. Confirmation anyone?
Hope everyone has a great time, especially the out-of-towners; DC is a great venue! :D

thanks for the info....we are in premier parking so that's cool....is there a special gate/entrance we should go to for premier parking? You just go in the front entrance like normal, and tell the parking person you want Premier. They'll wave you over to another lane where they'll take your $20 (or I guess this year your advance purchase ticket), give you a window pass, and you drive just past the front venue entrance to the Premier lot. Since they are selling Premier parking in advance this year (no discount), so I don't know how fast it'll fill up - it's a medium sized lot that might hold 400(?) cars. We got there right at 4 PM so as to get a close spot and do some tailgating (but we live here and I can get the day off). Have a great time!

What's up people? This is Elliot, formerly known as gcom007...anyone remember me? Hopefully y'all don't hate me...anyways, I just found out tonight that I'll be heading out to the Creek w/ Erik (Jimiantz) and Joey (I don't know if he posts here anymore or ever...)...so, yeah...I just thought I'd join this party or something like that...I'm looking forward to a good time. I'll probably enjoy myself more because I have had no anticipation time at all. I got a call yesterday from Joey saying he had an extra ticket and today I decided I'd go, so that's that...I was at the Creek in '02 and the shows were amazing. I'm really looking forward to a great time camping and seeing DMB!

i can't confirm it, but i've heard it as well. last year at riverbend they had the same rule, and people just threw their blankets down right outside the gates and picked them up on their way out.
it's only 4 days away guys!

Hey Crumbo, do you do any taping? Or do you know anyone who will be taping? I got hooked up with some tickets (4) to a private show put on here by a radio station with o.a.r. and wondered if any tapers would want to go with me and get it. Just a thought....

i'm so jealous, tracy! is that the thing with bob schnyder at the vogue or whereever? wow. you're lucky!
there is a pretty dedicated OAR taper that you might want to get in touch with. he's from kansas city, mo. but he might be coming for the show or maybe he knows of someone 'round here. anyway, his name is ed and his site is www.oarsa.org
also, brandon w (wilson?) from IU is a dMb taper.
enjoy the show! :)

and yes, it is the show with bob schnyder at the vogue. I tryed for two days to get tickets and won some today.

I'm driving up from Orlando solo, and I'd love for someone to roll with and help pay for gas. I'll be staying @ Deer Creek I'll be leaving FL on Sat 6/19 and staying until Fri 6/25 to catch Phish. Even if you're 10 hrs away, it's okay. Even, if you're looking for a ride one way, it's cool. I'll be leaving Orlando on Sat, and I'll be taking:
1 - FL Turnpike
2 - I-75N
3 - I-475N
4 - I-75N
5 - I-24E
6 - I-65S
7 - I-465S
8 - I-69S
If you're on the way, need a ride, and are interested email me:

Last year tailgating was a real problem. Two friends of mine were approached by two off duty police officers and given tickets for under aged comsumption. They left me alone because I had just turned 21, but I guess they could have easily given me a ticket for contributing. Oh yeah, one of the cops was wearing a tiny little Abercrombie top and skimpy shorts, would have never guessed she was a police officer...so if you're under age I'd watch your ass.

Hey does anybody know what the parking situation at DC is like? Im staying at Dead Creek and I had planned on staying both nights but, I called into work so Im leaving after night 2. What time do the parking gates open up at because I need to leave Dead Creek as early as possible so I dont have to pay for another night.

I could be wrong, but when I went in '02 I think we just paid one flat rate for the entire weekend, so I don't know if it'll matter...

Parking has opened at 4:00 the last 2 years; gates open (nominally) at 5:00.

Heck, the only DMB I've listened to really in the last year or more is Crash...great driving album...should be an interesting experience...

They do... every concert I've been to they have beer on Sunday. Be careful in the parking lot though. Lots of excise cops around. If you're 21 they won't hassle you. But if you're underage you WILL get busted. Gaurenteed.
