hehe I got lucky, DMB is what brought Ron and I together :lol although I think I'm the one to instigate going to a ton of shows...before and during the first year of dating Ron, I went to 12 shows in 1 year, now it's down to 5 :lol but I love him too much to not marry him :)

yeah I did get quite a nice variety of stuff that's not played really anymore...my list of studio stuff not heard is very small, if you saw in that other thread :) I would love to be able to tour more and pick up some more variety, but this isn't looking like the tour to do it.

I wish the people behind the DMB DVD's knew the benefits of DTS 5.1 tracks instead of Dolby. I mean the sound on the DVD's is still excellent but........ahhh!!.......DTS would make it even more brilliant.

the problem with DTS on fanmade dvds is the audio recordings thusfar haven't been hurt by dolby...and a lot of people can't decode DTS sound. with these new recordings comming out sounding very soundboard-esq you may see more DTS enabled dvds. :D

I was actually wondering about the Official DVD's. Check out the difference between NIN's Dolby release of "....and all that could have been" and the DTS release. Trent released them separately for maximum quality/bit rate on both the audio and the visuals. The difference is astounding.
Same with the Dolby and DTS tracks on the Coldplay Live 2003 DVD.
I would love to have CP in DTS 5.1 sound.

As for fanmade DVD's I'm okay with the current sound. The 04.20.02 DVD I got from Matt is great.
Ben F. made me a b&p of the 12.17.03 D&F in DTS sound on CD and it's pretty cool. It's not necessarily quite like a surround release of a live show but the tapers do not have the tracks to each microphone so, unlike the 5.1 audio mix of studio version of Bartender from BS bonus DVD, you can't have Carters left ride coming from the left surround and his right ride coming from the right surround. Boyd coming from LF/LR and LeRoi from RF/RR, Dave coming through Centre, etc., etc. The good thing about that DTS CD 12.17.03 I have is that it's great volume from all around so with the DTS you are taking advantage of 5x100W which you don't really take advantage of with a normal 2.0 CD.

Bethel – Alan Gerry stood in front of the bowl-shaped field where the main stage of his performing arts center will sit.
He thanked the executive director of the New York Philharmonic for coming to the groundbreaking next to the 1969 Woodstock festival site. Then the Liberty cable TV magnate said this to the crowd of more than 300 seated under a white tent: "You know they [the Philharmonic] are going to open the show in two years."
Gerry was talking about the opening of the $63 million arts center, the first weekend of July 2006.
Later, the Philharmonic's Zarin Mehta went one step further. The brother of conductor Zubin Mehta said one of the world's great orchestras could make the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts its second home.
"It's a great idea. We've been looking for a summer home," he said, after mentioning the orchestra would first have to figure out logistics like travel and housing.
The Philharmonic won't be the only show in this central Sullivan County town of farms and fields. The man developing the arts center's programming, David Carlucci, formerly of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, said he's already talking to performers, ranging from modern dance and ballet companies to new musicians and rock 'n' rollers.
But you didn't need officials or Gov. George Pataki digging a shiny shovel in the ground to tell you decades of Woodstock dreams were coming true.
You just needed to stand on the hill and listen to the rumbling of bulldozers. Thirty-five years after 450,000 blanketed Max Yasgur's dairy farm, construction on the performing arts center that will celebrate the festival has begun.
Yesterday, some 300 invitees, from bearded Woodstock veteran Duke Devlin to bearded County Attorney Sam Yasgur, the son of Max, got a look at the model of the 4,800 seat indoor-outdoor pavilion and the interpretative center that will house an exhibit devoted to Woodstock – all built with natural-style materials chosen by Gerry.
They munched hors d'oeuvres, sipped chardonnay and heard politicians praise Gerry, who turned a black-and-white-TV repair shop in Liberty into a $2.8 billion cable TV empire.
State Sen. John Bonacic, R-C Mount Hope, who reiterated the promise of $15 million in state aid, even quoted Ralph Waldo Emerson: "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived/This is to have succeeded."
But politicians like Bonacic, Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, D-Forestburgh, and Rep. Maurice Hinchey, D-Saugerties, were playing to an easy crowd.
Miles from the tent and chocolate strawberries, some of the folks in show-me Sullivan are finally beginning to believe this arts center will be built.
"It can only help, it's only a good thing" said Mike Schwartz, standing outside the White Lake Firehouse. "There's no downside to it."
"I'm all for it; it's better than a casino," said Alice Froelich at her Kenoza Lake farmhouse. "And if a local guy can do it, it's even better."
Local guy Gerry, who was once so poor he stuffed cardboard in his shoes to cover holes, knows Sullivan County is a tough sell.
"We read a lot of promises and ideas and unfortunately very little turns to reality," said the man wearing black Luchese cowboy boots.

john, i just printed out 11 pages this evening from sharingthegroove regarding torrents and according to tiedyetoga who wrote 'the book' on torrents
P: mkwACT says there's no magic number A: This error is most likely encounterred when the download is not completed. If you try to check the files before the download is complete expect to get this error.

I had a dream before Darien where a nunmber of people I know (some from as far back as boarding school) were chilling in a park and I was onstage to introduce Dave! :lol Then the show starts but nothing's coming out of the speakers and we're all like WTF? is going on? I had a terrifying dream once about 1 1/2 years ago where I was in Toronto looking out at the CN Tower and this cylindrical object came out from behind the CN Tower and started spewing this "fire laser" out of the bottom that was razing buildings to the ground. Yikes. One other one I was at the pub Devil's Advocate, it was night time, and this terrible thundering started. I looked out the window down Bay St. towards the lake and saw all the ground and buildings were collapsing into what looked like lava - I mean EVERYTHING and what an awful noise it was - the funniest part was that I loked around at all my friends in the dream, knowing that the end was upon us, shrugged my shoulders and said "so that's that then?"

I honestly didn't enjoy the CP concert . The sound where I was SUCKED , you could talk to each other normally , no need to raise your voice . I also couldn't see a damn thing , and the crowd was not into it at all. NO ONE in my area did the Warehouse woos , no one was dancing , it just plain sucked ... but I parked a few blocks away for free , and the show was free , so I can't complain too much .

The dream was this -

A bunch of people and I (no idea who any of them were) were at this bible school. It was very dirty in the bathrooms (must have had porta potties on my mind) actually, disgusting. anyway, DMB was coming to this little hick bible school to play in this extremely small room, like the size of a school auditorium, but smaller. I had front row, and was so excited. Then, I had to run to the bathroom to pee, and when I got back they were gone and there was an orchestra playing. I missed the whole thing. It was good I dreamt of DMB, but how depressing is that???

Steve, forgive me if I sound stupid, but is there really a dream doctor? Because I am person that dreams EVERY single night, usually numerous times, and most of the time they are REALLY bad...Like horror movies or thrillers. Very disturbing.

Yes I have had some pretty wild dreams. I have had many dreams about aliens - mostly where I can see which humans are really aliens and I can fly and chase them. Sometimes I get overwhelmed though. Destruction dreams can be very scary - I've seen Toronto vaporized by a nuclear missile before watching from the top of Richmond Hill and still feeling the heat. that was bad. Horror dreams like being attacked by huge dogs or panthers when I am stuck and can't move. I hate not being able to move.
