Usually, yes, altell pavilion is pretty damn good. But last yr wasnt all that great, imo.

well there was the impending hurricane that rushed the show. but pavillion is where you want to be. personally, i wouldn't be able to sit lawn for a dmb show. too fucking crazy out there.

Last year Dave and his family stayed at Ballantyne Resort for several days before and the day after the Charlotte show... there was an article in the Business Journal about it. here's the clip:


"Dressed down in casual shorts and T-shirts with his personal trainer in tow, mega-star musician Dave Matthews sweated through three workouts at the Ballantyne YMCA this week.

"On Monday his trainer, Adam, called and said Dave Matthews was in town and wanted to use the facilities," says Gina Benton, Ballantyne YMCA fitness director. "I said absolutely, come on."

He still had to sign all of the appropriate guest forms that cover liability, she adds.

Matthews and his entourage were staying at the Ballantyne Resort just across the street and surprised the folks at the Y when they just walked over to the facility. "He was very nice and polite," Benton says. "The staff members were giving him hugs, and he signed autographs and T-shirts."

Matthews came to work out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for about an hour each session around lunchtime. The Dave Matthews Band concert was Tuesday night at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater."

there are a bunch of places to stay. alltel is on the opposite side of the city from me, so i don't know any places over there, but if you're willing to drive 15-20 mins from venue i can list a ton of places...

charlotte's lot for phish sucked balls last year too. i got there around 3 and the cops in the carts were all over the place knocking down tents and taking vendors shit. atlanta was the place to be.

I did multiple searches and could not find an "official" thread for this coming monday's show in raleigh, nc. So i'm sorry if there is already a thread for the show and you can merge/delete this if needed.

but is anyone else on here going? i just got the best seats that i've ever had for dmb on ticketmaster a minute ago. Section 2 row M... among first 20 rows, dead center. If interested in going to the show i suggest you all go check ticketmaster now. It's funny because I've been in Warehouse for 3 years now and the last two shows I've been to i've got much better seats the days leading up to the show on TM than i've ever gotten through the warehouse.

oh well...

should be a rocking show, with a night off between charlotte and raleigh the guys should be well rested :thumbsup

I wish I was kidding. I was walking across the street and was hit by one of the public transportation vans. He stopped at the stop sign, I started to cross took 3 steps and he started driving forward and hit me. I was really scared that he wasn't going to stop--missed running over both my legs by about a foot. I got my first ever ride in an ambulance today (and hopefully my last). Fortunately, nothing is broken. I am just sore as hell and shaken up. My left knee is turning black and blue as well as other parts. I wish I was kidding. I was walking across the street and was hit by one of the public transportation vans. He stopped at the stop sign, I started to cross took 3 steps and he started driving forward and hit me. I was really scared that he wasn't going to stop--missed running over both my legs by about a foot. I got my first ever ride in an ambulance today (and hopefully my last). Fortunately, nothing is broken. I am just sore as hell and shaken up. My left knee is turning black and blue as well as other parts.
