Do you think this could happen? I know Hootie doesn't fit the typical opener role for a DMB tour, but I would love this. Hopefully Boyd can talk them into touring together for some dates.

Would like it but probably won't happen. The Iguanas didnt quite cut it for me last year.

Oh god no, they were terrible. To me, it's always hit or miss, heavily leaning to the 'miss' side, with the openers. I think I've seen...about 4 out of 24 shows that I've actually enjoyed.

I've seen them, just not as openers for DMB.

The only openers I've really enjoyed are Bela, Ben Harper, Josh Kelley and the D. Frankenreiter Band (they were fun!)

I've seen Jason Mraz (wasn't thrilled, probably just the bad sound of the United Center) and Robert Randolph and the Family Band (they were AMAZING)

When will we know who is the opener?

Mraz and RRFB are the best 2 openers I've seen hands down. Thankfully, I spent extra time in the lot and missed the Iguanas.

Oh wait, I forgot about Macy Gray :lol

That would be sweet because you know bela fleck would have to get in on a few of the DMB songs.

My wife and I were out the other day and I swear I said to her I would love to see Hootie open for the boys. I have never seen Hootie, but I would love to. And what better way to see them than as an opeing act for DMB!!!

The Iguanas opened at The Gorge in '01...they were poo.

Didn't mind Josh Kelley during last year's Gorge run.

The Roots, Ben Harper, or Hootie and the blowfish would be cool. I'd like to see all three sometime this tour, Ben Harper especially... :)
