I wish I could, but I'm in the service overseas, and that site along with sharing the groove is blocked,
I'm trying to send my girlfriend the torrent in an email so all she has to do is start the download.

thanks

what kind of speeds are folks getting? i am only pulling down about 2KiB/s

cordogg138
06-14-2004, 06:13 PM
thanks, not complaining, but im just wondering if bittorents download slow? i've been downloading mine for a half hour and im still at 0%, and it says its goin to take 51 hrs. just wanna know if im doin it right or not, i dont mind waiting

cordogg138
06-14-2004, 06:14 PM
my upload rate is 13 kib/s, and my download is 0 kib/s

Eric(h)
06-14-2004, 06:15 PM
33 seeds and im getting just as slow speeds, says it'll take another 72 hours. I dont care either, but i honestly wonder why its slow.

Crumbo
06-14-2004, 06:30 PM
201 of 339 firewalled (59%)

that probably has something to do with it

mine didn't kick in with good speeds until about an hour and a half into it

Joe M.
06-14-2004, 06:31 PM
im getting about 80 down 20 up. You all have port forwarding turned on for the appropriate ports if you can?

averaging around 3mb/s total bandwith at anytime being used on all the torrent

Joe M.
06-14-2004, 06:41 PM
Ok now im d/ling at 50 but they are all R (remote) connections. The kind that won't work if you are firewalled.

Gary
06-14-2004, 06:41 PM
I just realized I had my upload connections set to 5, bumped it up to the max and am now uploading at about 400k :)

cordogg138
06-14-2004, 07:00 PM
how do you change all that stuff? like the upload conections? im new to buttorrent

Gary
06-14-2004, 07:02 PM
Buttorrent? Interesting.

Most clients other than the basic one do it, including bit tornado and abc.

cordogg138
06-14-2004, 07:09 PM
sorry typo, im goin to try bit tornado, i dont know what it is im usin right now but it sucks

Gary
06-14-2004, 07:15 PM
Yeah I was just joking with the typo. You were probably using Bram Cohen's original (http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/).

With Tornado, you want to cap your upload so it doesn't max out your connection if you are on cable or dsl. I'm on a T3 or something insanely fast, so I push it to the max.

cordogg138
06-14-2004, 07:17 PM
ok, thanks for all the help

cordogg138
06-14-2004, 07:30 PM
on last question, and then ill stop buggin' you, how do you go about routing it through a firewall?

I'm not too sure why you're asking. Is it because I seeded this torrent? My old username was spacemidget here, had about 200 posts in 2 years, then I made my new name and post more now. I also use spacemidget in the haven and a couple other places. There, my cover is blown

A seed is a finished copy. Stay on, be patient and it should finish.

I don't remember many peoples usernames except pretty much those that contribute in the download section. Which isn't that huge of a group of people so it's easy to remember. So I just like to keep my bases covered. But when people register multiple names it confuses the hell out of me (and other users also). I had to ask to see if I already knew you.

Ah. All I did was post a torrent, guess that's enough for taking charge. I posted so little on my old name that you wouldn't know me anyway. I might try seeding some more rare shows. I also have many 1990 shows that are not on the ants server.

Ah. All I did was post a torrent, guess that's enough for taking charge. I posted so little on my old name that you wouldn't know me anyway. I might try seeding some more rare shows. I also have many 1990 shows that are not on the ants server.
lol. around here posting anything is taking charge lol. well welcome. I didn't mean to push any of your buttons.

Oh it's cool, I wasn't mad or anything. I finally got around to reading about making and seeding torrents, and since I'm at summer school with a nice connection I figured I'd help out. :)

The mp3 sample sounds very good. I'm almost done with this one, and will have all three to compare shortly.

So I just like to keep my bases covered. But when people register multiple names it confuses the hell out of me (and other users also). I had to ask to see if I already knew you.

Yeah, that kind of stuff confuses me too.....

The torrent is moving nicely for me now, I turned off my firewall so I should be uploaded pretty fast as well.

Anybody know if there is coverart for this show? The antsmarching page lists the wrong shows art

i am thinking of buying the DF bonnaroo cd, i listened to the samples online and compared it to the "dm+f2004-06-11[1].ck63.shnf.ants" source and of course the online sounded better. you could DL the show only, you can buy it at livebonnaroo.com or on daves site. they offer the flac or some crappy mp3 for less money. i believe the flac is aobut $18, im not sure if this will ever be officially released besides the DL.
