I don't have much to compare it to but I was at 8.22.00 (Blossom) and it was great! I'll definitely be there this year.

I'll be at Blossom, but to be quite honest it sucks. Parking is terrible, and there is a one lane road leading to the venue. I live 45 min from Blossom, and its actually less of a hassle to go to Darrien Lake, 3+ hours away. I've traveled to Meadows, NYC, and this year I'm going to Shorline (sp) to see DMB, but I actually had to think twice about going to see them less than one hour away, but it IS a weekend and it IS DMB so. . .

Bela did not open up for DMB at blossom. Agents of Good roots did. But that show was truelly amazing. Playing for a little over 3 hours..how could you not love it?!

But for those saying that Blossom sucks?! I ask why? It's one of the best sounding outdoor venues I've been at. The acoustics are just great.

The low down is they remodeled the pavillion. New seats and new stage from what I hear. For those afraid of blossom selling out...it most likely will but they will probably over sell the lawn so you're chances are good you could will get tickets. just don't wait till early june to get tickets or you're fucked.

anyway, blossom is a cool place to see a show.

you are right - the name changed back to geauga lake (what is was before 6 flags bought it).

blossom is definatly worth going to. they finished a renovation, and the sound is just great now. the whole facility was upgraded.

i've gone early to about 10 outdoor shows. and never heard soundcheck.
this past december on 12.12 i got inside as soon as the doors opened. brady was finishing up soundcheck, and that's as close as i've gotten to hearing a soundcheck.

i definately want to hear one this year!

Blossom was on a saturday last year... which i'm sure had a lil bit to do with it selling out. people probably traveled from a lil further away since it was on the weekend. it's on a tuesday this year, so i don't think you'd have much of a problem getting tix.

Gotta question for all you vets of Blossom. When coming down Route 8 from I-80, can you get off Route 8 at West Steels Corners Road? Mapquest, which I know is stupid many times, has me getting off at OH-303 then to Akron Cleveland rd. I just figured if I can get off at the road blossom is on it would be easier. Any info would be helpful.

as for ticketmaster and their outlets, all i can say is "fuck you and your lame-ass lottery!" i had to stand in line for polaris night 2 tix. i'm there at 9:20a.m. first one there. the lady tells me i'll be first, even if they do a lottery. so 9:50 rolls around and there's about 20 people in line now. the fuck-ass cock-bitch whore then decides "it's only fair to do the lottery". so i pull #17, cuss the fucking bitch out, and try calling TM on the phone while i'm standing in line. by the time i get thru on the phone (long before i'm anywhere near seeing my turn in line) the only thing left are lawn tix.
so i'll be waiting for instant ticketing or checking the boards for night 2. if anyone can help out, let me know!

I was going to go last year, but I opted to go to Columbus at the last minute and sold my Blossom ticket. It was a good set, I recall - Last Stop and Dreaming Tree (which I heard both at Polaris) - but I was pissed that I missed So Right. Luckily, I heard it at the Palace a couple weeks later. :D

15 minutes is just my minimum. Listening to Warehouse vol. 2 Seek Up right now. I love the crowd singing along at the begining. Makes me jealous I wasn't there. Would be cool to see some of the guys in the lot before the show.

yes it is...i was in section 35 about 15 rows back and i thoguht they werent bad...any seat in that pavilion is good except the 40's cuz they are bleacherseats...and i believe theseats right behind the sound mix thing have a tower in the way...but ur pretty good...heres a pic of about where u are from last yrs...except this may be a lil more centered...http://www.anyoneseenthebridge.com/msgboard/attachment.php?postid=5023968 ...oh ya this is in front of the sound mix thing so add about 7 rows to that and u got urself a virtual seating chart

For instance, I am all about bringing hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, etc... But, do they have grills there? I would really enjoy BBQ'in these things for people but I won't be able to bring a grill. I got my seats through the Warehouse, out of 11 shows I got these were the second best next to my 4th row Hershey tickets. I have always loved Blossom, I got great seats for Linkin Park and Korn in the same section but row P. I got these through the Linkin Park fan club too.

kurt... we're gathering in teh lot a few hours before the show. we're going to try to grill and have some beverages. the list just has your name, what time you're arriving, how many people you'll be with, seat location, what you're bringing, and a cell phone ###
