I noticed when I was looking at the openers list that there are no openers listed for when DMB plays Toronto! What do y'all think this means? Could it be that something extra special is gonna happen, or have they just not booked anyone yet? :monkey :monkey :monkey :monkey :monkey :monkey

In the past, they haven't announced openers all at the same time. Information slowly trickles in. Nothing out of the ordinary - there are A LOT of shows without openers announced yet.

I'd love to see what kinds of things people would throw onstage if that happened...

There would be a riot. I love CA but I like to make fun of some of the candiand tv shows. Pit Pony, the Beachcombers, Rita McNeil specials... what the fuck is going on up there?

Actually, I really love Smartask. You got Todo and Podo, whom got their names from the ferrets in "The Beastmaster", as hosts and some man-chick as MC that looks like a truck backed into her face.

C'mon CBC, you're better than this!

Here is the deal with the flecktones there the same night:

I went on to the flecktones.com forum and asked if the tones would play with DMB. Their manager gave a reply saying that the Flecktones would have to be onstage at 9 pm, at Nathan Philips Square (City Hall). From experience, it would seem unlikely that they would open, unless the concert started at 7pm or so, which would give them enough time to drive and play both the opener to DMb and their own concert. DMb is playing the Ampitheater (Waterfront) about 7 miles away. :D

That means they wouldn't be able to come out and jam with the guys though... :BANG

The Tragically Hip will open. DMB will invite the boys up on stage for a 35 minute long #41 in which Gord will rant the ENTIRE time.

I have hopes to see Bela and DMB playing together again, but this may not be likely. I wondering who will open then? As well with the Darien show, no opener announced....

yeah, things around here in Toronto are pretty bad. I haven't gone to school in over a year, while they disinfect the school. Streets are barren, basically everyone stays inside. There are dead bodies lying on the ground with noone to pick them up. SARS. It's that bad...
