Too Much

"straight in suck up and go..." <--- verse

"cuz I eat too much, drink too much, want too much... too much!" <--- chorus

Instrumental jam <---- bridge

gravedigger

verse: "cyrus jones..."
chorus: "gravedigger..."
bridge: "ring around the rosie..."

the order usually goes: (intro if there is one), verse, chorus, bridge then usually back into the verse. the bridge "takes you to another place" if you will...like a real bridge does. it is usually different than the rest of the song, and it often switches keys.

the verse is the meat of the song.

or you can always pull a Beatles and start the song with the chorus and then go into the verse.......

See "She Loves You" as an example.

I think "Can't Buy Me Love" falls into the category, too. Haven't listened to it in awhile though.

Good explanation for the bridge part. Never looked at it that way.

Verse tells a story...
Chorus being a central idea...
Bridge takes you somewhere else, ultimately bringing you back to the chorus.

...according to my Theory 1130 notes. :D
