I've been jamming with some friends for a while we do like classic rock covers and shit. We just have like regular guitar amps. So we want to get some microphones but dont know where the hell to plug them in because they have the 3 pin input. Do they make wires with one end that will plug in to a regular guitar amp or am I gonna need to get something special to plug them into if so what do I need. I hop this made sense.

go to radio shack and tell them what you want to do, I'm sure the people there will be knowledgable enough about it and they will hook you up with the right adapters to do it.

Make sure your amps have dual inputs though, otherwise you'll only be able to plug in your mic OR your guitar.

You want an XLR converter. Like Pilot said, go to RadioShack.

Definatly come here for music questions, they are answered very quickly. Those of us that regularly check out the musicians forum tend to be really nice, and there really aren't ever any arguments in here.
