Most of stefan's stuff is improv anyway. So just listen to the songs and hear the riffs. Then fool around with stuff on the fly. Think strong, like bonsai.

dmbtabs.com has some
basstabarchive.com has some more (not all correct)
WWYS isn't very hard either, just the pre-chorus

i have yet to come across a main bass part for DMB that is hard, but some of the improv stuff stefan does is a bit trickier, but none of the basic lines are really all that tough

All of them are simple, the improvising is how Fonz makes his living.

Tabcrawler has some incorrect tabs last time I looked there. Like already said, the main riffs are pretty simple. It usually helps to learn off of a studio CD rather then a live show only b.c. the studio usually doesnt have a lot of improved fills that the shows might have. Have fun with it.

Yep, I've been playing bass for a year and a half and I can play most DMB stuff because Stefan just takes some simple root notes and then does whatever he wants with them. You really just have to listen to a song, find those few notes and then build off of that. #41 is a great song to start off with. It's a good idea to play with a drummer or even a drum machine because with the rhythm section (bass and drums) timing and finding the groove is EVERYTHING. Stefan must love playing with Carter... that guy is incredible.

ive been looking for an accurate bass tab to so much to say, more specifically the part near the end, where dave is singing "so much to say, so much to say....". if anyone has any help/insight on that part, i appreciate it

People go to the dmbtabs.com forums. We have literally tabbed out 95% of all dmb songs for bass. And no, grey street is not easy if/when played correctly. Well it is, but it isn't. Ah fuck it
