im about to buy the boss rc-20 loop station- anyone have any comments or concerns with this product? also, on places like ebay, people are selling this with the fs5u footswitch- im not exactly sure what that does. insight?

I never liked the RC-20. It's so nice to have all the built-in features of the Line6 DL4, even if it isn't a pure looper. In addition, the DL4 will "degrade" a bit over time, allowing you to blot out mistakes quick and easy.

the rc20 is a great piece of equipment. it's pretty much silent, but i would definitely recommend buying the footswitch with it so you can switch between stored loops quickly and without having to bend over. at least if you're playing gigs with it, for practice purposes you don't need the footswitch.
