iPhone playback of Torrents

I'm new to downloading torrents, and have downloaded a few shows from dreamingtree. I used uTorrent to download, and then the SmartConverter app to be able to add them to my iTunes. But when playing any of the songs on my iPhone, if I stop playing and then start back up again, it skips ahead to the next song. This happens when getting in/out of my car and plugging into my stereo, or even just playing the phone disconnected from anything and then stopping/starting again. I've also noticed that I can't skip ahead in a song, if I try drag the dot along the playbar it thinks for a second and then skips to the next song. Is this an inherent trait of torrents? Or am I completely missing something? Anyone?

I figured it out! The shows were imported into my iTunes as MPEG Audio Files. I converted them all to AAC and they work great! I can stop and restart from the same place, skip around within the song, all works great :) Hopefully this helps some other not-so-tech-savvy person!

I would use Traders Little Helper if you are on a PC or xACt if you are on a Mac. Both shouldn't have those conversion issues. Converting from lossy to lossy format like you did results in a loss of quality.

I find playback from downloaded files to be terrible. The sound usually appears to be muffled. I must be doing something wrong.
