All-Star Tribute to John Denver Announced for February 2013 Release Fifteen years after his death and 40 years after the release of his widely beloved song “Rocky Mountain High,” ATO Records will celebrate John Denver’s life and music with The Music Is You: A Tribute to John Denver, slated for February 2013 release. The album features covers of Denver’s most popular songs by a diverse group of artists including Dave Matthews, Train, Brandi Carlile, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Amos Lee, Old Crow Medicine Show, Josh Ritter, Kathleen Edwards, Brett Dennen, Milow, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Blind Pilot, J Mascis, Sharon Van Etten and Evan Dando. Would explain why he played it live if it's a studio version....fresh on his mind. Would like to hear it someday E1, but would much rather a 40, Belly Full or IBYU. Cool, though.

Great line-up indeed. Hope we see the song played in the E1 spot here and there on the winter tour and not just Christmas Song.
