***2012 MLB Season Thread***

Vegas odds currently say Detroit's the team this year.

The AL West went bonkers this off-season. Including the additions of Fats "Sausages" Cylon, and Man-Ram.

The Rays have the best staff in the AL East. The Yankees upgraded theirs. And those idiots in Boston say they're done with the pints and Popeyes in the clubhouse.

The NL East has Strasburg back this year. Reyes is still in the division, but in South Beach now, not Queens.

The NL Central is up for grabs at this point with Fat Al and the Prince gone.

The NL West, well, yeah...

Discuss my friends, pitchers and catchers have reported, and the best season is almost upon us.

See I've seen multiple people bring up the Phils' Papelbon contract as the worst of the offseason, and while I concede that it may not be optimal, but I think ultimately both the Fielder and Pujols' deals may be more foolish, all things considered.

I'll be devastated if the Tigers don't win it. Expectations are too high for my comfort.

Miggy and Prince both arrived in Tigertown 5 days early (first position players workout isn't until Friday), with Miggy having lost about 25 pounds this offseason. I still have more than a month before my trip to Tigertown, but I'm excited.

I would hate it, honestly. WS can't feel quite as good when you win that often and are the favorites 90% of the time.

Nah, it feels fucking great everytime. However, 8 years between 2000 and 2009... and 18 years between '78 and '96/the late '90's dynasty. Sure they're the favorites a ton, but that doesn't mean dick, obviously. But regardless, like I said, being a true fan and watching your team win a championship feels great no matter what.

Pumped for Reds baseball. I feel like they can win between 90-95 games and make some postseason noise.
