are you guys crazy?? these shows are incredible! this is the most excited I've been about an official release in a while

I have not seen one person say they were not incredible shows. Of course they are. Some people just prefer DMB shows for Live Trax albums. Is that so hard to accept for some people?

I highly doubt they'd have to have Butch's consent. No doubt they had him sign something saying all the material he played on belongs to the band (or the band's management anyway). Don't think they'd ever paint themselves into a corner like that.

These Live Trax releases will be fantastic. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but if you can't behind a couple of releases like these, I don't know what to tell you.

yeah, the LT series is much better sound quality than DMBLive.

This is like getting another Live at Luther College x2. I'm shocked people are complaining, but I guess that's how it always is.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it. If this isn't catering to the hardcore fans I don't know what is.

I don't know, I thought LT14, LT15, LT16, LT17, LT18, LT20 and LT21 were strong efforts at targeting the pre-Everyday hard-core crowd.

It's DMB Live Trax, not Dave and Whatever Buddies He Invites on Stage Live Trax.

They should release a YK show next. :lol

I am stoked they chose these shows, though, if they're going to release new shows.

As rickyh24 already pointed out, I too would rather see the LT series stick exclusively to full-band performances, and DMBLive be the series that sees these kind of releases..

Speculation, and I hate speculating. But if Dave and Tim were going to tour in January or February, tickets would go on sale around the December release date... A nice little promo to get us ready? Hey... I'm being optimistic.

well now 1/12 of the LT releases are D&T. 8.3%.

So if they had released these shows under a new "Dave & Tim Live Trax" label as Vols. 1 and 2 you would be satisfied? what's in a name?

I was expecting and hoping for a DMB Show. These are great shows but when you are hoping for something and get a different thing sometimes you will not be fully pleased. I'm not sure how many times this needs to be explained.

I look at these as one "release" in a way, other than that I'll have to pay for both of them. The fact that they're putting out two at once means it still won't be much time till there's a full-band release, I'd guess even before Christmas.

What does it matter what they're called? To me the fact that they're putting them under the Live Trax label instead of DMBLive is that more care will be taken with their production, and they will sound awesome. Like, Luther awesome.

And as I said above, I still don't think these will push back the timing on the next full band release.

For me, this will depend on the mix. Radio City's was horrible. Las Vegas' was better, but nothing has come close to Live at Luther. They really nailed that mix.

See above.

(I think Vegas wasn't great because of the crowd.)

I don't think it does. I never said it did. Some people may have just been expecting a full band release. Hence their displeasure. These are awesome shows no doubt about that. Can't wait to explain this again in 2 or 3 posts since everyone seems to be ignoring earlier responses.

No Butch shows? Is this a discussion I'm coming into late, because quite a few LT releases have Butch on them?

I personally am STOKED for these shows to be released.

Since Butch left the band, there hasn't been a single release that has him on it, except for Warehouse bonus discs. Most people do not believe this is coincidence.

Sorry still missing it. If it doesn't matter what they are called, how should I interpret "Some people just prefer DMB shows for Live Trax albums."? So your iTunes is easier to organize?

Again: The only difference the name is going to make is they will sound better.

I don't give a shit what Live Trax is called. I have just grown to expect DMB shows coming out of it. The name matters 0 percent. It could literally be called anything but when they release 20 something straight full band shows under the name that is what some people are going to expect. To sit here baffled because some people expect full band shows is sort of silly.

Re: Live Trax 23 and 24 Announced!!

Good new for everybody! The price of shipping both is $6.44 total, standard shipping. I think that's even cheaper than the cost for just one live trax. So we get two awesome shows and MusicToday doesn't get two charge us shipping on both of them! Even the haters should smile for that! :D

Re: Live Trax 23 and 24 Announced!!

idc that it's Dave and Tim as a Live Trax...I see where people are coming from by saying they should be a DMBLive b/c those have been DMB, D&T, and Dave solo and Live Trax have only been DMB, but I don't have a problem with it...these shows look to be spectacular and are from the D&T prime era

I am a little disturbed by the LT 23 cover photo lol...I mean it's a 96 show and they use a photo from the 99 Storytellers show...kinda odd but w/e
