I'm going to ruin Central Park for you.

As I listen to the entire CP disc set I can't help but notice that Carter's bass drum makes a "clicking" noise every time it's hit. I know that there is supposed to be some high frequency in the mix for definition but...it's too much. And it ruins the experience for me.

Anybody else notice this?

Okay I just listened to a few different songs for it. It's either your copy of the disk, or you don't know what Hi-Hats are.

Hearing aids do that when they hear a low frequency sometimes...

I'm completely aware of hi-hats. I also do not wear a hearing aide - listen more closely - it's there.

It's supposed to sound like that - it gives it a more open feel. I absolutely love the mix, high pitched kick and all.

You can send me your copy if you don't want it anymore.

Listen to Cortez the Killer and tell me you don't hear it. I love the show but this really gets to me every time.

Don't hear it.

Re: I'm going to ruin Central Park for you.

The whole mix has a little more treble than some live albums. The different mix makes listening to anything live more interesting because it's never the same. I don't hear any high click though. At least nothing that shouldn't be there. maybe it's your headphones or speakers?

this just in a rare case of the sarcasm flu is striking this thread. Stay tuned for more information from the cdc

You're the only person who hears this "so-called" clicking sound. I've listened to that show over 100 times...never noticed it, and I'm also a drummer.

I'm the only person out of the 12 people in this thread, you're right. That's fine that you're a drummer - I play myself - multiple instruments. And I was heavily involved in a recording studio for years. I'm not ignorant about any of these subjects.

I still hear it, and highly doubt I got a bad copy, and now that i've mentioned it - don't be surprised when you suddenlyl hear it. Took me some listens to catch it too.

I just tossed a brick through my TV while watching it. Thanks OP.
