You know I'm not big on Notre Dame. And I just barely decided to not go to Michigan.

But I'm hoping for a big lose-fest here I think Michigan playing at home is very important but it won't be a quality football game IMO.

I think I actually like ND in this one. Jimmy Clausen looked pretty damn good Saturday and he has some serious weapons to throw to.

I don't know if it was the all white or a TV trick, but UC looked huge. I've known Zach Collaros for years, and he looked like he has gained 20 pounds of muscle since the last time I saw him.

Everyone looks bigger this year. Even Tony Pike, who is still skinny as hell, put on some weight in the off-season. But I agree about Collaros, he did look a lot bigger than he did last season.

I thoguht the world was ending. Never heard anything that loud in my life. My eyes actually vibrated in my head, shit was falling off the counters, people were hitting the deck. It was insane.

Also, Dee Brown was in the box passing our stat sheets after every quarter. Kinda surreal. Oh look, its Illinois' point guard handing me info at a football game.

Re: College Football Season

Well, I've gotten over my sulking and can now re-post.

Ryan, good game. Regardless of how bad our O may be, your D certainly stepped up and has already made strides under Young, best of luck the rest of the way.

Joe Cox looks like he throws the ball under water. I knew Stafford had a quick release, but damn. But really I almost don't want to blame him as much as the coaches. When something works, you stick with it. We rocked that first series, I mean rocked it. Did exactly what we should of done (run it down their throats), and scored. Cox looked good on that fade to the corner that was knocked away, just a great series. Then Bobo (our OC) feels like he has to be even, so he starts throwing it, a lot. Cox made some bad reads, and a few dropped balls, but still, we had no identity at all and that was frustrating, probably the most frustrating thing at all. Sad to see us lose Sturdivant again for the year (as a reminder he tore the same ACL last season in pre-season), gotta be frustrating for the big guy. Penalties are still an issue. Overall I was just frustrated. I don't feel like we got beat by a superior team, but rather mental errors, and no real game plan. Hopefully this will improve, quickly, or it's gonna be a long year.

Go Dawgs, Drive Safe.

You know, I wasn't that down about it. We weren't supposed to win. I didnt' think we'd look as bad as we did. What stinks most is that it seems like we could have played much better and had a chance to win. Bobo's game plan was not sound, and he didn't stick to what worked.

But, if you're going to lose a game, this isn't a bad one to lose. Non conference, early in the year. I'm quite sure we'll improve and Joe will get more comfortable. If we don't, it will be a loooong year. But I have faith in Richt and the staff.

I've been on cloud nine for the past few days, but I'm back. First off, great game by the Dawgs on Saturday. The first scoring drive had me thinking that this was the same OSU defense and it was never going to get better. Then, it all changed. Big hits, rushes on the QB, sacks, forced fumbles. It was all there. Finally, defense won us a big game.

Dez looked good with his two TD catches and the first one was nothing short of amazing. Offense needs some work and those penalties were not good either. But, I'm very proud of my Cowboys.

Stillwater was the craziest I've seen it in years. There were a ton of Dawg fans and they were very nice. I got barked at a few times and it was damn funny. Had a great time this weekend and it was fun to be back in Oklahoma.

Found out that Dez will be gracing the cover of SI this week. Two covers in a month after have never appearing on the cover of SI, awesome.

Congrats.. it was a better game than the final score showed. I'm glad to hear our fans conducted themselves appropriately. I personally cannot stand it when I hear that we don't... unless it's someone ragging on Florida .

Here's a Georgia Blog that an OSU fan like yourself may want to read to hear the props given your town, school, and fans. Primarily the first two paragraphs.

If OSU gets killed this weekend is there anything they can do to regain the respect of the nation?

Hope that Notre Dame gets beat... cause people love ripping Notre Dame more so than OSU.

No way they get embarrassed again, not in the Shoe. They may lose but I guarantee a close game... and I fully expect them to win this one.

It will be very different for USC playing in a hostile environment in the Midwest for once. Carroll gets his players pumped up to kill teams but they don't perform as well in close games (see: perennially underachieving against PAC-10 foes). If the Bucks can hang in there until halftime without letting it get out of control, USC's freshman QB will cave under the pressure... I expect an outcome similar to OSU's last big non-conference game vs. a frosh QB: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/boxsco...51&confId=null

Also Pryor is the real deal, reincarnation of Troy Smith.

Exactly. They need to get out to a great start. Put some points on the board. Blitz heavier than normal to shut down the running game and force Barkley to make plays. If he beats us, then hell, good for him. I just don't know how a freshman could handle the pressure of a big game with 105,000 rabid fans screaming.

Yeah, I'm going. Unfortunately I don't have an extra ticket. Just the one I was able to get as a student. Prices for this game are ridiculous.

Really? What did he say?

BTW, Gresham had his knee scoped today and his status for the rest of the season will be revealed this evening. Could be out for the season.

I think USC will win comfortably. Navy was blowing OSU off the line and if they can do it, USC certainly will. That'd be what scares me the most, not the style of play, but the play in the trenches.
