yeah that was hilarious I remember Spring 2009 like it was yesterday.

However I will say that Spaceman, Funny the Way It Is and Alligator Pie have aged very well for me in the past year, and I really enjoy all three now.

LITHOG and Squirm are probably my 2 favs. Why I Am is good too.

Other than that........ yeah album is about as MEH as they come.

meh... its lost its luster. not many of the songs have the same punch as the classics. there are more on this album than ED and SU for sure though. def their best effort since BS.

And here we are after the honeymoon, realizing that its good, but doesn't come close to the others. Will any album compare? Probably not, because fans are cynical and the writing doesn't have the meaning that it used to.

Artists usually create their best stuff when they have nothing. They try so desperately to illustrate their love for what they are doing.....now these guys have millions upon millions, live in nice houses and have so much done for them.

Time is also a variable. Dave was a young man when he wrote those earlier songs, now he's a family man with other issues in life. Sometimes things won't get back 'the way they used to be'. Its not always a bad thing, but just won't be exceptional either.

Yeah, some of us never, ever said that.

I only own a small number of physical CDs, all my songs are just on my iPhone and not physical discs. The only ones I have are BW, Wrigley 4 disc, and the LT20/WH CDs they sent this year.
I forced myself to listen to BW 4 times in a row while driving a few weeks ago. It was better than I had remember but not up to their full potential. I found myself liking some studio more than live which is not usually the case.

I don't think I've listened to it start to finish in over a year.
I really like LITHOG a lot, especially live....The other songs are hit and miss.

My drive was 1 hour each way so I listened to it once there and once back. Then I did the drive two days later with the same listening pattern.

LITHOG will always be my favorite from the CD.

Never really liked it to begin with. Better than Stand Up, but seeing any off them live is generally not something I look forward to. Like others have said, LITHOG is decent live now, and Baby Blue is good studio/live. Crap like You and Me, Spaceman, Why I Am, and Funny just bring it down too much.

Overall, it's about even with Everyday in quality, but still far, far below Busted Stuff.
