I just requested the regular reserved, I'm fine with that. Not sure about this pit either.

It's going to be a teeny tiny pit. Maybe they feel with the will call pit they can control the amount of overcrowding down there. I'm so happy about this show, sooooo close to home

Looks like tix will be available for both these shows through citi private pass. I requested pit for night 2 through the warehouse. If I end up confirmed, and am able to pull some good seats in the presale from citi, I could end up with the best seats I've ever had for a show.

Good seats in this venue are a must, as is good weather. N1 in '09 was a real disappointment and I wasn't able to be there for n2. Hoping I have better luck this year (night 2 only)

n1 in 09 was awful because of the rain. i didn't think my seats were going to be too great, but they ended up being some of the best in the venue. there were like 6 rows covered by the upper deck, the only seat seats in the entire venue that are covered, and thats where mine were. we were already wet from having to run through the lot, but we didn't have to stand in it like everybody else did all night.

Ya i know what you mean. I was above that in the top deck. It was fun of course because it was a dmb concert, but it was probably the least fun i've ever had at a show. My tailgate party turned into us sitting in the car drinking while the rain pounded down.

The band clearly wasn't into it that night either. I think it's the only show i've ever been to that I didn't take the time to listen to the tape.

That said, I heard awesome things about night 2 in '09, so lets pray for sunshine.

Wow, thanks for the info on this venue/hotels, this tread has been very helpful so far.

We were originally planning on going to Mansfield and SPAC but after seing pics of the Venue, we certainly couldn't resist. We'll be traveling from NB Canada.

A few additional questions:
1- So as I read in this thread about the rain... I really don't mind it but,is it colder since it's on the coast? Or is it still tolerable? (Had a bad experience at the Gorge in 09, when it rained and was very cold, but still made for great memories.) I just want to make sure we pack accordingly.

2-We are staying at the Holiday Inn in Lynbrook, it seems pretty decent. How close and easy would it be to drive to/from the venue?

We got pit both nights, first time getting close like this.. We are very excited!!

Be careful. As long as you aren't drawing attention and walking around with bottles of beer then you won't be bothered for the most part assuming that you are over 21. The venue itself is dry because it's a State Park so enjoy a few drinks before the show if you want!

i don't think they are pulling out seats, but the pit looks extremely tiny - if this is the true seating chart.

My mom stood in the pit 2 summers ago for Chicago and said the pit is pretty small, probably why almost everyone that tried to get pit tickets either got denied or reserved seating.
