The full Terrapin Suite is pt 1&2, Lady with a Fan>Terrapin Station.

I think it's about 45ish minutes. Not gonna lie, I'm not the expert on the Suite. I just know the story behind song and that it is the song of inspiration I'm more of a Scarlet Officianado or HOTW>Slipknot>Franklins Tower kinda guy

I'll take a nice Slipknot>Franklins anyday. What do you recommend.

I just know that Terrapin makes me want to jump for joy when I hear it and I just don't know what the best one is or where to start with them.

Franklins Tower is just flat out awesome all the time. I'd look into early 80's. Blues for Allah is my favorite Dead album of ever.

It kills me that their '81 tour through Europe was so poorly mixed (Weir so low in the mix)

10/15/83 has been a favorite of mine.

Also, I highly suggest you check out the Nightfall of Diamonds release. It was 1988/89 I think? But it is absolutely awesome.

I downloaded 10-11-77 Lloyd Noble Center Norman, OK today

It starts off with a nice Help>Slip>Franklin's.

    Any good 90's shows?

    Here's a great one from 9/24/76.

It was part of the 30 Days of Dead from this past November.

My vote is for that one too. My favorite version (and a great recording too.) That actually might be my favorite Dead show.

Anyone seeing Furhur this summer? They're coming to Alpharetta in July and I really want to go.

Hows the scene at a Furthur show? Shady or cool?

What does a shady scene entail? I'm not trying to be a smartass. I guess I just don't understand what it means in the context of a Furthur show.

I'm just asking if its real shady and an inviting atmosphere. This is one of the main things I hate about about the "jam band" scene, the lot. I'm not a fan, I don't like being asked a billion times if I want to buy mahl or L. People talk about the "love" when its really just crawling with shady, piece of shit drug dealers trying to not get busted.

    I just like parking>going to the show>leaving.

Oh yeah, I can certainly understand that.

I'm sure there are enough legit fans to make it a good enough experience

No, mainly referring to the jam band scene as a whole. Yes, the Bisco scene is the worst, but Phish lot can be pretty shady too and I am sure Furthur is the exact same, if not worst. Mainly from what I've read on other forums.

Unless you are Mormon or a Priest, the lot scene should be fine. If you hear tanks and don't want any; walk the other way. Just because it's out there doesn't mean you need to partake.

I'm kinda disappointed they're skipping over PNC Bank Arts Center this summer. I had a blast at my first furthur show there last summer.

Now I'm contemplating MCU Park, but I really down want to have to go all the way to Brooklyn. Holmdel is basically in my backyard.

Holmdel was a great show and I was pleasantly surprised by the venue...
