Great poll! Just glad I was at one of the choices...but I didn't pick it. I gotta go with that Cville 2010 encore. That was just insane!

Agree that Cornbread was a buzzkill. I was there and it was still a great encore compared to most shows. But compared to those listed in this poll, Wrigley doesn't cut the mustard. That Cville 2010 encore is rediculous, as is the AC encore from last year and SPAC '09. Holy shitfuck Batman!

as far as 7/29/02 -- I highly doubt Dave will ever play a Dancing Nancies solo at a full band show.. plus the original Two Step chant, followed by my favorite Two Step that I have heard live (Albany 98 is all time fav)

sick encore. Dave nails Nancies and then it's great hearing the crowd and then the band react and then the crowd erupt as Two Step starts

So at least 73 of the 118 people voting for Hartford N2 (62%) were at Hartford N2. Shocking.

Re: Most EPIC encore in the Ants Era

I had to go w/ SPAC ...The fact it had been raining on us for half the show and at watchtower, a good chunk of the lawn had left...getting that random Halloween completely blew my mind. After 15 years and 21 shows, this is the only encore run I have seen that shocked and pleased me that much. Cville looks pretty damn sexy though.

First time I have listened to this. THE nancies is flawless great respect by the crowd but I wish Dave didn't end it so soon. Not a big fan of chants especially throughout a show because in my opinion I think its disrespectful but holy shit the energy from the crowd is nuts INCREDIBLE version!

As cool of a moment as that was, it's kind of annoying that everyone still chants Two Step at every single show at SPAC.

I was at SPAC 09 and Hartford 12.. I gotta say SPAC 09 was sick on the lawn, but being in the PIT in Hartford and seeing that nonsense was ricockulous. The best encore is always the one happening right in front of you.

Re: Most EPIC encore in the Ants Era

I was at Atl City and Hartford this year. I voted Atl City because the crowd chanting Halloween added to that whole expereince and it was my first Halloween as opposed to my fourth in one year at Hartford. ATL city was completly unexpected, Ants also kicks ass in every way possible as we all know.

That settles the SPAC vs Alpine debate right there. Alpiners do not leave early for any reason, much less a little precip. Didn't know SPACers were such fair-weather fans (literally).

I love how all of them are from 2009 - 2011 except the 02 show. Dave and Boyd with Roi were much better than what they sound like now back in the day.

What about 8-31-00?

9/8/02 should be an option. I went to the Wrigley show on this list, I loved that encore, but it didn't touch that Gorge encore. That, to me at least, was special.

Re: Most EPIC encore in the Ants Era

The encore for Hartford N2 is ok but not as good as AM.org made it sound; the whole setlist is good but not great imho. There are the new tunes and some other slow ones that made the show good, instead of a great one.

I was at SPAC and Cville, Spac was incredible but the energy and emotion at Cville is something i have never seen in 80 shows (not at Alpine, Red Rocks, Gorge, SPAC etc).

Definitely.. The whole night was special, even though the set list had its ups and downs. Have some fond memories of that weekend. Will always be up there as my favorite DMB shows.

Not adding 9.8.02 might be the biggest fail I've seen on am.org. Dave and Roi only LBV(the most beautiful version at that) followed by a Dave, fonz and carter only Halloween with a great solo by carter and not just cymbals and double bass which his solos have become of late and then billies! I put this at number 1 because Of the presence of
