Had it as an opener for tonight in St. Paul. LOVED IT! It's a nice change from what we're usually hearing as the first song. Even a couple of my friends who are more casual but getting into them more and more, loved Seven opening up.

I'm a fan of slow, chill songs starting out. I saw the Grace opener in Mansfield, that was sweet. Speaking of Sweet, I like that as an opener too. Small, chill, and importantly short. Ease the audience into the experience. I think Everyday and BOWA are also great in that sense. Now it shouldn't be Out of My Hands slow, but you get the idea. Typical -->Warehouse would also be a dream opener for me. Springsteen used to open with ballads alot.

That would sacrilege. N1 I want them to come out with guns blazing with like a Warehouse or Seek Up opener. Then N2 they should start off with something that has a little less intensity like Say Goodbye or Recently, then ramp it the fuck up. I'd also like a BOWA opener.

I checked them out, and you're right. Nikon got shafted with Seven and Shake Me

I'd say the strongest, or at least my favorite of the two night stand openers so far would probably be Mansfield with DDTW and Grace. Has a nice contrast, and no BW, as I don't really feel that any of those songs are opener quality. If I had to choose any, I'd say Funny simply because of that new intro they have for it.

I can't believe LITHOG has only been played once this tour. Glad I got to see it.

Now that you mention it, squirm seems to be another good choice. And they probably just realized how good LITHOG is so maybe they're not trying to beat it to death with constant play.

Loving Wings = terrible opener. This is far and away the worst opener I've seen. All the excitement and anticipation that had built up as DMB took the stage was immediately sucked out of the venue with that opening riff. Not saying its a bad song. In fact I rather enjoy it. Just not as an opener. Its never a good thing when the first 5 minutes they are stage I am bored to tears.
