Re: Chicago Cubs

Cubs win! First time Marmol finished off a 1 run save since April 8th when he only had to get 1 out.

Can't believe we're going for a sweep of the White Sox tomorrow.

Re: Chicago Cubs

Actually not going to wrigley this weekend because I don't know how to read and the Cubs are @ chase field this series. I'll be there in July when the dbacks come to town though. Go cubs until then I guess, whatever

I actually remembered your post when I was looking at their upcoming schedule this morning and was waiting for you to come back and post in here after you realized they were in AZ.

Re: Chicago Cubs

Rizzo is mashing. It's time for him to become a Cub.

Vitters is starting to turn things around this year but I'm not holding my breath. Brett Jackson will be a total bust if you ask me. Guys who strike out 33% of the time in the minors usually don't do too well in the majors.

Byrd is a great guy. He's also a very public and vocal supporter of Victor Conte (BALCO guy).

He swore by him and said everyone was waiting for him to get suspended, but knew he was clean. I know the Cubs weren't thrilled with Byrd using him.

I figured Byrd was using whenever he was a Ranger. Not surprised in the least.

Re: Chicago Cubs

Finally something exciting to watch with this team. I wish I could catch the game tonight. I think in a few years we will look back at the Cashner/Rizzo trade as a real steal for the Cubs. Cashner has the potential to be great, but pitchers are also much more likely to get injured.

Starlin Castro is always on list with hall of famers for what he's accomplishing at his age. NOW there's a reason to watch?

I feel bad for Cashner because he did not want to leave. Too bad he's gone, but Rizzo should be worth it.

Castro is definitely exciting to watch, but the team as a whole is not very fun to watch. It will be exciting to see how Rizzo does in the big leagues.

Rizzo's hands seemed lower than I remembered. Love that easy/relaxed stance.
