Thanks for the confirmation that I'm allowed to post this request here. I also posted in the ticket exchange so hopefully things work out. It's scary buying tickets out of town because I'll obviously have to pay with Paypal but I figure Ants is the safest place to do it!

One more question for you if you don't mind. What's the hotel and cab situation around this venue? The GF and I like to "have a few drinks" at the show so we like to get a hotel that's walking distance or at least stay in a place where we can get a cab to/from the show. Any recomendations on hotels and is it safe to walk to and from the venue to a hotel (if that's even possible)?

def not possible to walk from a hotel to the venue, the venue is out in the sticks a bit so cabs will be few and far between as well...you're best bet is to camp on site (Bennett Acres or Raccoon Creek) or i believe there is a shuttle service (info on that is a few pages back)...anywhere in the Robinson area or near pittsburgh international airport would be your closest hotels (about 20 mins from the venue)...i don't have the link for the shuttle serivice info but if you read back several pages you'll find it...good luck

I can't reiterate hailtopitt's point enough: Starlake is nowhere near Pittsburgh. It is a 45 minute drive from downtown. It is actually not in the same county as Pittsburgh. It is surrounded by farm land pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

Of course the easiest solution is for one of you to be the designated driver. I've seen some terrible DUI accidents following Starlake concerts - don't mess around and be safe

When you think about it, its pretty amazing a hotel hasn't popped up near the venue. They could make enough $$ over the summer to cover for the down winter months.

The GF and I just got back from Deer Creek and had one hell of a time! We met Carter which was incredible!!!!!!

After DC got Typical, bound and determined would underestimate my state of mind! I'm convinced anything is possible!

I say we make a gradual yet respective (don't want to annoy them) push on twitter to get Stefan's and Boyd's attention. Then when the one week mark arrives we go all out (don't want them to play it too early and forget about it ).

People in the Deer Creek thread and the Halloween at Klipsch thread in DMBc mentioned that it sounds like Boyd teased Blue Water at the beginning of Halloween. I've been listening to that and Blue Water from Vanderbilt and will admit they sound VERY similar.

I bring that up because I tweeted this to Boyd this past Wednesday..."I #findsomeinspiration walking by a river I #BlueWater4Pittsburgh #DMB"

I'm not saying I caused it, but I am saying if it was indeed a Blue Water tease, it means Boyd remembers! I will say though, maybe if Boyd remembers how epic some his solo's were he will try to get it play as well!

Down sr22, down sr18, sleep in a ditch, sleep in the parking lot, sleep in residents cars, thumb a ride back to Robinson.

None of these options are respectable, IMO. I wouldn't recommend walking down any of the roads out there. Think country roads. i.e. not well lit.
