Revolution 9
Why Dont We Do It In The Road
Don't Pass Me By
Wild Honey Pie
Savory Truffle

All filler IMO. Just not good.

Everything else is between solid and brilliant though.

Totally agree.
That being said, I think it's one of my top two favorite albums.

BTW I just finished the Paul McCartney biography.
1. I never realized how much drugs they were doing and how early they were doing them.
2. I have a new respect for Linda and a greater hatred for Yoko.
3. The fame fucked them up hard in every way imaginable.
4. Ringo's an idiot.

I had one of those wake ups one time where your conscious, but you're not completely awake yet. Rev 9 was blasting in my ears, and I remember freaking the fuck out; not being able to move. it was a weird experience. Once I woke up, anxiety was running though the roof and I couldn't stop sweating.

Any fan of The Beatles needs to check this guy's channel out. He breaks down a ton of songs through all the harmonies. Gives you a new appreciation for how complex even seemingly simple songs are. And he has a great voice himself.

Very cool - watched the Girl one and a few others. Interesting that George often had the tougher harmonies. They were all great at nuances though.

George was getting fed up with having 90% of his material shelved by Lennon/McCartney (one reason why his first solo album was so good...he had all these songs stockpiled.)

John started bringing Yoko to recording sessions, which I'm sure was a pain in the ass. He was also just starting to lose interest and wanted to move in a different direction - a more stripped down, socially/politically conscious direction.

Ringo didn't feel like he belonged at times.

I don't think it was any one thing.

I can't believe I'm seeing McCartney in about a month in half. I'm so lucky they decided to add a second show to Tulsa otherwise I'd be crying my eyes out right now at the lost opportunity. I can't believe Tulsa gets two dates considering he's not touring many North American cities. Just crazy. Does anyone know if he changes is sets up or is it basically the same show every night with maybe one or two changes?

Brian Epstein's death was the beginning of the end, at least according to Lennon.

On back to backs its mostly the same, but he'll switch out about 5-7 tunes between the 2 nights. At least that's what he did when I saw the two shows at Wrigley.

Re: **All You Need Is Love - The Official BEATLES Thread**

Just scored pre-sale tix to see Sir Paul in Indianapolis on July 16th!! So psyched!!! This will be my 4th Paul show overall (saw him in '05 at the United Center in Chicago, and both nights at Wrigley in '11.) Always said if he ever comes within a 5 hour drive again, I'm there. Got the email this morning that he's doing Indy and Milwaukee. Anyone else planning on hitting the Indy show?

Pre-sale is going on now at paulmccartney.com if you wanna check it out. I believe you have to be registered to purchase tickets, but all that means is entering your email address and signing up for the updates. Not sure if there's tickets left or not for the presale, I logged on immediately this morning when it started and had no trouble getting a pair.

Re: **All You Need Is Love - The Official BEATLES Thread**

hmm interesting take nick... i know a lot of people who agree with that. i think john's voice is more "beatles" - and by that i mean, when people think of the beatles, they hear john's singing voice in their heads. however, i'm really into pauls solo stuff (which in he live setting includes some of his beatles work) so i tend to prefer paul. although with the beatles, it's really hard for me to decide.

George is definitely my favorite, but there's no question that Paul is the best musical mind in the Beatles

Re: **All You Need Is Love - The Official BEATLES Thread**

In 2010, when I went to the Empire State Building, I was waiting to take the elevator to the higher observation deck that you pay the extra 20 bucks for (or whatever it cost at the time). I was wearing a Let It Be t-shirt, so the elevator attendant asked me which Beatle was my favorite. I told him, Stu Sutcliffe.

Certainly a top song, but I think While My Guitar Gently Weeps is greatest of the George Beatles songs. (And Only A Northern Song not too far behind.)

I think A Day in the Life is the greatest Beatles song.

In the 2009 film Star Trek you can find R2D2 in one of the scenes. Will we be able to find the USS Enterprise in Star Wars Episode VII?
